  • Projecting Lots of Learning!

    Funded Feb 1, 2019

I cannot begin to thank you all for your generous donations to help our wish of integrating technology into the classroom. I am so excited to say that my projector project, for my special education classroom has been fully funded! My Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders were so excited to be able to have something "so cool" in the classroom. They love the fact that they no longer have to stand around a computer monitor to view lessons and presentations, or to tap into resources from the web. They can actually see things clearly, and are excited to learn!

Due to your generosity, you have helped my low-income, special needs students, receive the same quality education and technological resources that more affluent systems have. You have helped me to increase student engagement, and an interest in technology, and how things work. The impact of having this type of technology in our classroom is amazing, and the possibilities are endless! With that said, I again, thank you immensely for your donation, and for helping to make a difference in young children's lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Parrington

The projector will be used to make lessons more interactive, reduce paper usage, and make learning more engaging. It will allow me to project lessons, share stories, support learners in presenting their work and sharing their thinking. We will also be able to play Go Noodle videos to give us some brain breaks and so much more - the list is endless. A projector is a vital tool for a teaching in this day and age! The children of today are used to vibrant colors, crisp pictures, and lots of engaging stimuli at home on their technological gadgets, so keeping their attention in school can be challenging. Being able to project images, videos, and model lesson will help grab my students' attention, engage them in their learning, and help them to succeed. It will be use daily to provide the best learning experiences my students so greatly need!
