Supporting All Learners
Funded Aug 13, 2020The TPT gift cards were used soon as I receive them. TPT provides rich resources of teacher created materials that can he used to support all learners. I have returned to 5 day instruction and used the gift cards to purchase anchor charts and instructional resources that I can use during my lessons and create a learning environment that supports all learners.
Since returning to five day instruction I have been able to gather enough data to see the learning gaps my students are experiencing because of the sudden school shut down in the spring. I plan to purchase center activities that will allow me to differentiate instruction.
Thank you again for your generosity and your commitment to under served school communities.”

Funded Sep 13, 2020Thank you for donating school supplies to my students. The materials that I received (pencil cases, pencils, erasers, glue, crayons, scissors, crayons, sharpeners and erasers) allowed me to provided students two sets of materials. One set for school and another set for home. This donation has allowed my students to safely use supplies in school because they do not have to share. They also have materials for home instruction. Your donation had a significant impact on student learning in my class. I am truly grateful for donors like yourself”

Funded Aug 13, 2020During this time, teachers have so much to worry about! Because of your donation and the quick arrival of the assessment kit, I am able to prepare to begin assessing my students when they return to school next week. Your generosity has allowed me to have the necessary materials to create on-line and in-person assessments for my students. It is extremely important to get to know exactly where our students are and formulate learning plans that will address the learning gaps that students may have due to school closures. Thank you for supporting educators and their students. It is people like yourself that make this job just a little bit easier.”

Funded Apr 3, 2020Thank you again for the shared reading easel and storage. I anticipated on using the bookcase this Monday with my students. However, I will start using it during virtual instruction and will eventually use it when the children come in for in-person instruction. The storage cabinet allows me to organize my shared reading materials in away that I have easy access. Most importantly the easel makes it so much easier for me to turn the pages and interact with the book, while the students observe me. The easel is also a perfect height for my students to come up and point to words and try out the strategies that I model. Your gift has taken my shared reading lesson to the next level!
Thank you a gain for your generosity.”

Start Up Our Supplies
Funded Nov 2, 2019It was a great surprise for my students and I to receive all of the materials! Your generosity has provided my students with all of the writing resources that they need to complete all of our daily tasks. You think that simple supplies like pencils, erasers, scissors, crayons and a classroom sharpener are not a big deal but THEY ARE. These materials are consumable and it becomes extremely expensive to replace these materials. Now we have enough for the whole year. My students and I thank you for your generous gift!”

Morning Meeting Materials
Funded Sep 23, 2019The resources we received because of your generous gift has made a huge impact. With the fulfillment of this proposal we were able to create a word wall to display the high frequency words we review daily. The pocket charts allow us to display the daily schedule and talking partners. The sentence strips and display boards provided are also used to display the standards and the essential questions of the day. We review all of this information during the morning message and your gift has allowed us to do this in the most efficient way.
It is donors like yourself that make it easier to get through the financial challenges of being a primary grade teacher.”

Funded Sep 23, 2019It was a wonderful experience for my students and I to receive all the resources that your generous gift allowed for us to receive. We received chart tablets, markers and a treasure box full of post-its in all sizes. My co-teacher and I have started using the materials to make student friendly anchor charts. Students are using the charts as references when they are working independently, in small groups and partnerships. The resources you have provided us have made it much easier for us to replicate anchor charts that are appealing to our students.
Thank you for all of your support!”

Reading Baggies for Little Readers
Funded Sep 23, 2019Soon as we received your generous gift, my co-teacher and I reorganized our students independent reading books. We placed their books in the colorful book baggies that the fulfillment of this proposal allowed for us to received. Before receiving these resources, our students used Ziploc bags to store their independent reading books. The Ziploc bags unfortunately are not durable and students can easily lose their books.
The pictures that I uploaded were taken the morning the students walked into our class. When they walked in they each saw a beautiful book baggy on each of their desk. That moment was priceless! Once I explained that someone cared enough about them to gift them with this great resource, they beamed all day.
Thank you again for all of your support and generosity.”

Revamping Our Book Clubs
Funded May 17, 2019I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation of books to our classroom! The students were extremely excited when the books arrived. Our class will be using all these wonderful books during guided reading and book clubs. Our students will engage in small group instruction around the text that we have received from your donation. They will work on specific reading skills targeted to improve their reading abilities. These new books will replace our old worn-out books during guided reading instruction. My students will be using these books to read together in small groups, and have a variety of opportunities to have text based discussions around each book about the characters actions and motivations, events, problems and solutions. These text will help to build their reading fluency, and comprehension and hopefully foster a love for reading with their interesting plots. Students will use these books to have class debates arguing their points of view, they will make inferences about the characters and their actions as well as support their thinking using text based evidence. My students are excited and eager to read all the new books we have received, thank you for igniting their love for reading with these new reading selections.”

Funded Feb 8, 2019I was elated to received the boxes of materials that your donation provided us! I immediately opened the box of copy paper and stored it to prepare to print activities for the students and lessons. The color paper is used to print mini anchor charts the students use to reference when they need support while reading independently. I used the binders to organize lesson materials, center activities, and anchor charts. This allows for my students and I to have easy access to the materials. I also organized the student work artifacts in the binders to be able to track student progress. My students were very happy to see that they have new pencils and markers as well.
Your generous donation is a testament of your belief in quality education for our students and for that we are truly grateful.”
