The fulfillment of this project has allowed me to add high interest books to our classroom library. Soon as the books were available my students were eager to borrow the books and immediately started reading them. My student have the opportunity to apply skills like identifying main characters and plot points, understanding basic story elements (rising action, climax, falling action, resolution), making inferences, analyzing character motivations, summarizing key details, comparing and contrasting characters, and drawing conclusions based on textual evidence, all while maintaining fluency and decoding challenging words. Most importantly, they read daily independently and engage in book talks with their peers. My students really enjoy sharing what they are reading and give book recommendations. The day I was unpacking the books one of the boys in my class noticed the Goosebumps books and he walked over to me and said "those were my mom's favorite books as a kid", I told him he would be the first one to borrow a book from the series! Thank you for your generous gift!”
I am so unbelievably grateful for your donation. Your generous gift allowed me to show my students how much they mean to me by giving them summer reading material that I know they would enjoy. After reading the book Love That Dog by Sharon Creech, my students loved reading and writing poetry and wanted to explore more of Sharon Creech's books.
Their faces lit up when they looked into their gift bags and saw a copy of Hate That Cat. Immediately, I heard how it was the best day, how they were going to start reading the book, and in the journals, they would write their poems, just like Jack (the main character in Love That Dog).
Thank you for helping me foster a love for reading!”
The resources that my class received with your donation have allowed me to create opportunities for my students to engage in different activities. I used the resources to create different centers, such as math and reading intervention centers. I also used the the paint and brushes for holiday activities and social emotional activities.
The students were excited to see all of the materials and quickly all began to asked when we were going to use it all.
The last project we worked on were friendship cards for Valentines Day.
Thank you for your generous gift.”

Organization in a classroom is key! Your donation provided our class resources allowing us to organize the materials we use during independent reading time. Students are able to keep materials like independent reading books, reading tasks and headphone in a baggy. This helps to keep individual student materials organized and fosters an environment where students are self sufficient, allowing the teacher the time to work with small groups of students without interruptions.
Thank you for your generous donation. It is donors like yourself that make things possible in classrooms.”

Receiving the ink cartridge for our class printer was a game changer in our room! This resource has allowed me to create literacy and math centers for each of the units we have covered so far. Using center activities allows me to design engaging learning opportunities that address specific needs for the various groups of students in my class.
I do not have to worry about running out of ink in the middle of the academic year. In previous years, I have had to pick in choose what centers I set up or stay away from printing material that uses up a lot of ink, even though it was the best resource for my students.
Thank you for you generous gift. Donors like yourself make things possible in classrooms!”

You have leveled up our library! Every morning my students are eager to visit my library. There is a daily schedule we follow for visiting and borrowing books from the classroom library. My students are excited to read the new books that were added to our classroom library. Students are working towards reaching their goal to be able to read books like "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid". Your generous gift has brought our classroom library back to life. It is donors like yourself that help teachers create classrooms that foster life long learners.”

We started using the materials we received with the fulfillment of this project immediately. I am using the magnets to display anchor charts on my wipe off board. I am using the magnet file tray to hold the school nurse slips and work that is saved for the students that are absent. It is an easy way to retrieve materials. Lastly, as you can see in the photos that I uploaded we are using the storage pouches to hold our individual reading books. The students love their baggies! Thank you for the generous gift.”

The supplies that we received with the fulfillment of this proposal were used immediately. The pandemic caused me to revamp how classroom supplies are used in my classroom. With the fulfillment of this proposal my class received pencil cases, pencils, erasers, and crayons. At the start of the academic year I was able to set up individual supplies for each of my students. Implementing this systems allows for all students to have quality supplies that are necessary for learning. Parents were also asked to provide at home supplies, which they appreciated.
Thank you again for your generous gift.”

With the fulfillment of this proposal we received several reams of card stock. This material has allowed me to create a colorful print rich environment for my students. I also use the material for enrichment activities. We are actually using some of the card-stock today! We are creating friendship turkeys for our social emotional period. The students had the opportunity to choose the colors they want to use for their creation. They really enjoy getting creative! In the near future, we will be publishing narratives and the card stock will be used to bind and publish our writing pieces.
