We Are Becoming Bilingual!

Funded Sep 22, 2018

The money that was donated bought many different types of supplies that support interventions. Those supplies include games, organizational materials, and manipulatives that support reading. It also provided Spanish books for the classroom library. Many of my students do not have enough access to these types of books, therefore the classroom library is very important. In our classroom, I teach Reading/Language Arts in Spanish since we are a dual language campus. It is good to have a great variety of Spanish books that students can read and get excited about reading. Our library is now complete! We read during our workstations. Students read on their own and they read with someone. I want you to know that we appreciate the donation to our classroom. I know they get excited to read when they can find the same book in English and Spanish. The donation has allowed our library to be complete. Now the students have a full library to enjoy. We recently had a book fair. Some of the students bought books they have been able to read in the classroom, because they want to own them. I use several of the books they enjoy as a read aloud book during instruction. The students will truly benefit from all the materials that were purchased for many years to come. Thank you for providing the tools that my students needed to love learning, and reading! The students will truly benefit from all the materials that were purchased for many years to come.”

With gratitude,
