Funded Jun 17, 2024I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation, which will significantly make a huge difference in my classroom. Now, my dyslexic/SPED/Autistic students have resources to help them learn and enjoy reading while raising their self-esteem. As a teacher who must buy all my school supplies for my students, I never have any extra money left over. I always see predictable books and fun hands-on games that would reinforce our lesson for the day, but honestly, I can’t afford them. I cannot stand going to conferences that tell us how much dyslexic, SPED, and Autistic students would do better on a computer when we already know that. The sad thing is that I live in Texas, where our governor got all our hopes up about huge raises and then has refused teacher raises and refused to send money to support our schools. Thank you for choosing to fund my project; you have no idea what impact this has on my students. Your commitment to support education and multi-sensory learning opportunities for my students is truly inspiring! Multisensory learning opportunities are what all students deserve.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Woodruff
