  • MOVE Your Body

    Funded Dec 28, 2024

What a difference you've made at recess time! The students can't wait for us to open the equipment closet and pull out the scooter boards, chalk, jump ropes, soccer balls, and scarves to play with! They especially love the scooter boards and will even request to be pushed around on them. It's fun to watch them race and move their bodies in a positive way. I've seen a decrease in behavior since receiving the materials, too! The students on working on learning to jump rope as it is a more challenging skill for them. My student artists are creating beautiful artwork for all to enjoy with the chalk and my kiddos that love to stim have the scarves to twirl. Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bull

  • Organized and Accessible Materials

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

I am so excited to continue prepping and organizing materials for my students! It’s been a challenge to be motivated to prep materials without a home for them. These bins and file folders will allow me to grab and cleanup materials more easily and will also help when a sub is there!”

  • Busy Hands, Learning Minds

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations! I can't wait to give my students these items for sensory time, small group time, and even play time! My students love things they can manipulate with their hands and these tools will be just perfect for that! I might even play along with them.”

  • Books for the Spooky Season!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I am so excited to share these books with my students. This time of year is so fun! October themed books will bring that seasonal excitement into our learning. Halloween read alouds are always a big hit. We work on a lot of comprehension skills using new and engaging stories. Thank you for helping bring these fun titles to our classroom!”

  • Teacher Tech: Virtual Writing, Drawing and More!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

The apple pencil is so easy and fun to use! I can write, draw, and mark things on my ipad for my students to see. It helps a lot when writing on presentation slides and pictures of workbook pages. The ipad case also protects my ipad from wear and tear so that it will last a while! Technology is always a wonderful addition in the classroom. I am excited to be learning how to use new technology to make learning more fun and engaging. I look forward to continue learning how to use the apple pencil more and more!”

  • Practice for Success: Dry Erase Boards for Distance Learning

    Funded Aug 16, 2020

My old whiteboards were so old and dirty. The new whiteboards from this project were perfect, especially for students to use at home during distance learning. We use whiteboards during all subjects and students get time to free draw on them throughout the day, too! The students are always excited when they get to use something other than boring old pencil and paper. Little whiteboards are great for showing their work and that they understand what I've taught them. I can quickly see where they went wrong and they are excited to fix it....because whiteboards are so fun!”

  • Skills Practice for All

    Funded Sep 29, 2020

As you probably know, Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) is a teacher's best friend when in need of supplemental materials! There are so many fun activities I can find on the fly when I need extra activities for my students. I also use TPT to provide differentiated activities to my students. I have purchased so many things from TPT with my own money without being reimbursed. The giftcards for TPT will save me from spending my own money and give my students a variety of activities to keep learning exciting and fun!”

  • Visual Instruction for All

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Small groups are a breeze with additional technology in the classroom! The doc camera and projector allow me to make learning more accessible to my students in the small group settings. I can project an independent activity on the classroom projector while using the new projector to lead a small group through instruction.

The students love watching videos, reading books online, and using online learning tools. We can do this without ruining what is being projected at another group! Thank you for helping me provide exciting learning to all my students.”

  • Winter Reading Warms Our Hearts

    Funded Nov 2, 2021

New books bring excitement to reading and learning in our classroom. Especially during the coldest time of the year, winter themed books are fun to cozy up to when we read them together on the carpet.

The bright and beautiful colors of the book covers, the fun illustrations, and engaging stories make reading time more enjoyable. The students look forward to new read aloud books and are eager to read the books independently as soon as I put the books on the shelf. The students almost love these books more than recess!

    Thank you so much!”

This year will be my fourth year as a Special Education Teacher. I absolutely love what I do and the children I work with. I set high expectations for my students because I know they are capable of more than most think. My goal is to change the stigma of students with labels and advocate for them so that they can be seen for what they CAN do and not what they can't.
