Guitar Supplies Music
Funded Jan 16, 2013Thank you very much for your generous donation that allowed me to purchase capos for my school's guitar program. Yesterday the students performed in three separate concerts. They performed for approximately 900 students, 100 parents and about 100 teachers and additional staff members.
Without the capos students would not have been able to perform the music they love. Big hits were Ho Hey by the Lumineers, Apologize by One Republic and Born to be Somebody by Justin Beiber. For many, this was their first concert. They were very nervous, but showed up and did a terrific job.
The concert season is not over. We have two more graduation performances and sadly, a memorial service for a student who passed away. The guitar program does so much for the moral of our school and your donation has helped our program offer the kind of programming that is meaningful and uplifting.”

Guitar Instruction Books for Elementary School Guitar Class
Funded Jun 16, 2009Dear Donor's Choose, Watchovia and Sean McGrath Fund, It is with deep gratitude that we thank you for your generous donation of the Hal Leonard Guitar Meathod Book by Will Schmid to our school. Because of your donation, we have been able to offer a beginning and advanced guitar class to our students. This week the advanced guitar students will perform three songs from the book you donated at our holiday concert. It is because of these valuable resources that students were able to learn to read music in school and practice at home and prepare for the show. Students have learned to read notes in the first position, know the names of the parts of the guitar and understand note values. It is wonderful to see them take pride in what they have learned and I am sure their performance on Thursday will impress their parents and friends and others in the school community. We will continue to use these books as they offer three years of study with level 1, 2 and 3. We are so grateful to you for providing us with this amazing resource. Our school is in a low income area and without this program, they would have no opportunity to study music. Thank you for making it possible. With warm regards and gratitude, Ms. B
