Help the Little Learners Stay Organized!
Funded Sep 5, 2017Thank you so much for supporting my students in Harlem with the supplies they needed in the classroom. Your support guaranteed that my students were able to be successful in their everyday learning environment.
The students were so excited to be able to use the materials that you generously donated. We sincerely appreciate your funding of our project. The glue helped us to create projects in the classroom. The laminating paper helped me to create reusable materials and signage for our classroom. The ink helped me make copies of classroom materials to ensure I was able to provide the necessary resources to my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brown-Legon
Little Learners Comprehending
Funded Jun 9, 2017The materials you have provided for my students have been so helpful in helping my students to improve their literacy skills. In my classroom, the students constantly use the materials such as the Sight Word Fishing to build and improve their sight word knowledge. They use the comprehension books to build their comprehension both in class and for homework.
When the students first saw the materials, they were extremely excited to have brand new tools to work with to build their reading skills. They love using everything in class every day.
The next steps for my students with these materials is that they will build their comprehension, especially during test preparation time.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brown-Legon
Little Learners Achieving High Literacy!
Funded Jul 12, 2016This year, the books that you donated helped so much with improving our social-emotional skills, improving our reading fluency, and working on STEM. The books were used in a variety of ways from read-alouds, to mentor texts, to independent reading books.
The students really enjoyed the chapter books that were donated and also they really enjoyed hearing the books read aloud. As a whole, the books that made the biggest impact and the ones that the students read again and again were the social-emotional books. They really loved the characters, the colors, and the message behind the story.
Thank you so much for your donation; because of your help, my students grew as readers and learners!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brown-Legon
