Every quarter, my junior and senior English Language Arts students choose a novel to read on their own. At the end of the quarter, they do a project on their chosen book and present it to their classmates, rating it on a 5-point scale. Student choice is so important when encouraging young learners to read. Over the past four years, I've compiled a list of the most highly recommended books, as reported by my students. This project will allow me to create a lending library in my classroom and have these books available for all to access and use.
