The beautiful, student friendly, Colors of Nature rug will be used on daily basis for teacher reads, small group time, and silent reading. The rug will provide a nice, soft place for my EL students to gather on the floor and discuss books, classroom content, and to read. The EverBrite LED flashlights will be used for Flashlight Friday where students read in the dark. The use of the small flashlights will give students something to look forward to on Fridays and will help make reading fun! These two items will help make my ESL classroom more appealing to students while encouraging them to become lifelong readers.
