  • Let's be Bacteria-Free in Our Intervention Space!

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

With the upcoming flu & cold reason around the corner, these cleaning supplies will help to maintain a safe home base for my students this school year.

I can assure you that the resources you have generously provided will be utilized each and every day. The Clorox Wipes will be used by my students whenever we switch work stations or move around the room for our hands-on activities. The Swifer Wet Jet will help to create a clean and welcoming atmosphere for my young mathematicians. The Windex refills will wipe away dry erase marks on our surfaces and make room for new sets of math problems to be tackled by my learners.

I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my students and being concerned about our health as we embark on the 2024-2025 school year.”

  • Who Runs the World? Girls! Feminine Hygiene for Our Scholars

    Funded Sep 16, 2023

The feminine products I recieved have already made such a wonderful impact on the lives of our female scholars. I was able to provide two of our school social workers with tampons and sanitary pads for the students they work with on the second and third floor of my building. In addition to our school nurse, each of our social workers have discreet drawers filled with feminine products the students can come in and request. Having multiple pick-up locations for our young women builds confidence, trust, and strong relationships with the women in our building.

I love that these products are helping to create a comradery among the staff and learners in my building. It is so important for our young women to know that they should never stress about having the products they need.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Solomon

  • Take Your SEATS, Get Set, Go Math!

    Funded Aug 5, 2023

The stools have truly made a positive impact on my intervention sessions. I work with young mathematicians in grades K-2 and the stools are the perfect size for my scholars to pick up and move around independently. My classes consist of 9 homerooms with groups of 5-6 students. I love seeing the looks of accomplishment on each of their faces each time they move around the media center. The 18 inch stools are also the perfect height for my students when sitting at our small group table. They do not take up much space and can be stored and stacked easily.

Thank you for being a real life superhero and supporting my young learners.”

  • The Magic of Microbes!

    Funded Dec 12, 2021

It is truly wonderful to be back in the classroom where we all belong. It is even more wonderful to have the science and math materials we need in order to make this school year a phenomenal one that my students deserve and have waited two long years for. Thank you so much for providing my students with these hands-on supplies. We have already utilized more than half of our list and are eager to utilize the rest of them throughout the remainder of the year. Because of your generosity, our learning environment continues to flourish and grow. Thank you for being our real life super-heroes for my young mathematicians & scientists.”

  • Let's Be BACTERIA-FREE in Our 5th Grade Science Lab

    Funded Aug 18, 2021

With the uncertainty of yet another school year due to the Corona Delta Variant, these cleaning supplies and air filtration units will provide us with a safe home base this school year.

I was in my classroom this morning setting up and I can assure you that the resources you have generously provided will be utilized each and every day. The Clorox Wipes will be used by my students whenever we switch work stations or move around the room for our hands-on activities and science labs. The air filtration units are set up in the front and back of the classroom. The UV light switch option will give us peace of mind on a daily basis.

I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my students and being concerned about our health as we embark on the 2021-2022 school year.”

  • Help Keep These Mathematical Minds Write-On Track Part 2!

    Funded May 8, 2020

Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to use these amazing materials while at home. Last March, we were told we were leaving our classroom (our home away from home) for two weeks. Those two weeks seem like an eternity ago. Woot district is still virtual but that does not mean we aren't learning. "Different" has become the new norm and our classroom certainly looks different these days. Some wonderful things have remained the same thou. My passion for teaching has transformed and my student's positive attitudes have overcome massive hurdles during this last school year. We have all grown and learned together and that will continue.

These dry erase sleeves and Expo markers have come in handy due to our current learning conditions. Students have expressed gratitude and love using their new supplies on a daily basis. Even thou I haven't met my students in person (yet) , I know that your generosity has encouraged them to do their best.

I want to thank you for being one of our real life super-heroes! Your generosity had made such a positive impact on my wonderful mathematicians and scientists.”

  • Let's Expand Our Science & Math Library!

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Books! We now have amazing and engaging math and science books thanks to YOU! It has become a joy to see my early finishers walk to our back science cabinet and reach for some of these new titles. My female mathematicians and scientists have become enthralled while learning about female pioneers who broke barriers in science and math. In my classroom we've always known that GIRLS ROCK but now we realize it on a whole new level.

I love reading aloud to my students and truly appreciate those opportunities when my lessons allow it. The titles we've chosen are so witty and intriguing. Many of these books explore the tales of interesting characters who once had a hard time "fitting in" socially until they realized they had so much to offer. It's so special to see some of my students connecting to these fictional kids.

You've certainly created a mini escape for many of my students and for that I thank you. You are some of our real life super heroes! Please be sure to watch your generosity in action by following our class Instagram page @solomonsfabulousfifth”

  • Our Engagement Will "SHINE" & "GLOW" During Math & Science

    Funded May 18, 2019

When you look into the night sky during the summertime and see fireflies what do you think of? Warm and relaxing nights by the fire pit? Lazy summer days? Mosquitoes? Well...I think of THE most exciting test reviews and benchmark prep periods filled with students decked out in florescent colors anxiously awaiting the next science investigation or open-ended math prompt! It's TRUE! Glow sticks make everything more exciting and math and science are no different. When you give a 5th grader a glow stick along with some fabulous glow glasses and glow tape you are guaranteed instant engagement and a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

You have made this amazing vision of mine a reality on multiple occasions so far this year! My mathematicians and scientists know right away once they walk into the pitch black classroom adorned with black lights that Mrs. Solomon has something fun up her sleeves. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to think outside the box and giving my students the chance to learn in a super fun and engaging atmosphere. They love their glow-filled classroom and I adore seeing the passion and smiles on their faces.

Thank you so much for being one of our real life super-heroes. Be sure to follow our class Instagram page @solomonsfabulousfifth to see your generosity in action!”

  • A Classroom Cricut to Personalize & Design Our Space!

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

How can you urge 50 fifth graders to truly embrace their classroom? By allowing them to personalize it of course! Our new Cricut Explore Air 2 machine has made our learning space even more fabulous and welcoming. I have 50 different personalities surrounding me on a daily basis. These kiddos are all so wonderfully creative in their own ways. It's no surprise that my students are much cooler than I am but their design ideas are even more incredible and continuously amaze me.

Our math and science word walls have never looked so inviting and it's all thanks to you! My students can choose some of the best fonts and colors to decorate our "Home Sweet Classroom", bulletin boards, and hallways. We are even discussing some design ideas we could utilize for our school-wide science fair coming in March.

This amazing piece of technology has allowed my students to take a part in their classroom setup and design which they are so excited about. Thank you for being one of our real life super heroes! • Let's Keep This Science Lab ORGANIZED and EFFICIENT!

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

I'd like to express how grateful I am for the flow and easy to navigate convenience that has come to our classroom because of your generosity. All of the sleek bins and file boxes are stowed away and have truly made such a noticeable difference in the way we move around our learning environment. There are no longer tissue boxes and cleaning supplies ready to be utilized once flu season arrives sitting out and visible on the cabinets. All of our materials have a home and our space is neat and tidy!

The students have been using the black 3 tiered rolling carts on a daily basis and all is right with world! There are no longer students fumbling over one another to reach their supplies or math manipulatives. There are no more book mountains piled on top of group tables. Gone are the days of lost tempers due to students needing to navigate the tricky terrain of papers and supplies on the floor. The days are now easy breezy and you have made this organizational dream a reality. Thank you for the ease and comfort you have brought to our classroom.

My K-2 Mathematicians are FABULOUS! These young citizens have amazing personalities that shine through during small group discussions. These kiddos keep me on my toes and CRACK ME UP on a daily basis! For some early learners, the K-2 curriculum can be tricky. We all learn at a different pace and that makes us unique. Through the school year, math concepts can fluctuate from easy to understand concrete skills to abstract skills that require deeper reasoning and logic. But... PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS! When challenged with rigorous work and high expectations, my early learners RISE to the challenge. My mathematicians are ready and willing to have insightful discussions about virtually any topic from place value to Pokémon if you simply give them an open ear (...and possibly some Jolly Ranchers!)
