  • Color My World

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

Woohoo! I don’t know who is more excited, me or my students! Thank you so much for funding our project. I can’t wait for my students to be able to publish their creations in bright vibrant colors on our new printer! Thank you again for helping us “Color Our World!””

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roberts

  • Empowering Our Students With Technology

    Funded Dec 16, 2015

As you know, technology plays such a big part of our daily learning. My students have up-to-date access to a vast amount of resources at the touch of the screen all because of the generosity of donors who want to help our students be successful. From history of the past to very current events, my student can explore the world in which they live.

Our new mini iPad is a much sought after research resource in our classroom. The students enjoy being able to share the exciting clips, articles, and games that they have found on the iPad.

With the new iPad, one student was able to research about our class pet, a corn snake named Merlin. He excitedly shared, with pictures, the different kinds of corn snakes that are found here in Oklahoma. He was able to achieve this all on the iPad hooked to our Smartboard.

All of this was made possible by a need to "Empower" my student to seek ideas outside the normal classroom and donors who felt the same passion!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roberts

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 6 other donors.
Our school is mainly reduced lunch or free lunch. We try to meet all the needs of our students, but budget cuts tend to keep up from excelling in our areas of technology. My 4th grade students rotate through my classroom for their "reading" block. They are 62 very diverse individuals. These students need to connect with the world outside of our classrooms. I feel it is my job to help them by giving them opportunities to research and explore with technology. The students need to have iPads in their hands and learn how to connect rather than be left behind of our ever growing world wide web.
