Having technology in my classroom has helped my students grow by leaps and bounds! I am blessed to have you support my students, my classroom, and my school! The Kindles have added more opportunities to learn and have fun at the same time! Research shows that student learn quicker and retain more when they enjoy it! This opportunity has changed my student's attitude toward learning!

I Am a 3rd grade teacher in a very rural area of Appalachia Ohio. According to Ohio Job and Family services most recent data, Pike County, Ohio has the fourth highest unemployment rate in the State of Ohio. A very high percentage of my students come from low income or non-working families. Our district is very spread out. Our students experience long bus commutes to and from school. Traveling many bumpy gravel roads before arriving at our safe place to learn.
