  • One Moment in Time

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for one moment in time. We were able to gather memories that will be shared all our lives. Every year we have parades for Literacy Parade , Spanish Heritage, other outdoor activities.

We also have award assembly in which we were allowed to share the photos with our parents. We thank you for this opportunity. This item will be used for every school year with different students. This will allow them to share their memories as well.

Our photos can be posted online with other students around the world to share our culture with them and they share their culture.

Its helps bridge the gap of imagining what is going on in other parts of the world, we are able to share our culture thanks to your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Copeland

  • Technology Center Accessories

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for your donations. The class really enjoyed the technology it allowed them to work at the desk and take responsibility of their own equipment. It was used for two school years.

The most exciting part about this is the students excitement when we opened the box. They were eager to use the headphones and mouse.

This gave easy accessibility to the portals when doing math and reading. The students were able to do I-ready and Odyssey computer program without delay. We are very appreciative of the donation.

Again, thank you for being so kind.

    Thank you again.”

  • Reading Rocks

    Funded Oct 7, 2013

The students in class are vary excited about using the computer. They know the importance of reading. The students are using this computer to improve their reading scores in Success Maker. This will enable the students to meet the demands placed on them at an early age. The computer will allow them access to many venues for reading. The students are learning to read so they are able to read to learn. This is the first step in their endeavor as students. Thank you for your donation. It will make a difference in our students lives. Your donation will allow our class to get their materials at a certain location in the room. The materials will make the instruction easier to follow. The materials are placed in certain areas in the room, students are directed to pick up their material or place the materials in the appropriate place. Our students are taught how to organize their own work, now the classroom can get organize with the wonderful item we received . As an instructor I can lead by example, since you have allowed us to get the proper materials through your donation.

I want to thank you for donating the projector to our class, and school. This projector allows me as an instructor to build background knowledge for my students. My students are disabled and what it takes for a non-disabled children to acquire the skills to learn in a lesson ; takes 100 times that for disabled children. This projector allows me to download images on power point and present it to the class on the projector. This supports learning for visual learner, audio learners. It allows them to connect the new learned material to prior knowledge. You donation is a blessing to our school and class. We are grateful........ and are able to learn new material thanks to your donation. ”

My students are located in a low income , Title One School, in this area students live in single parent homes, substance abuse parents, abused, and sharing rooms with more than one sibling. The school is very warming to these students, the culture is family oriented. They are given free breakfast and lunch since this may be the only meal they will receive until the next day. They are well mannered children, you can't help but love them, very humble and thirsty to read a book. Since the students I teach has cognitive and processing problems it takes more direct instruction for them to learn. They would have to hear and see a strategy 100 times before they learn it, unlike the students in the general education room who can hear it one time and apply the skills they have learned to the classroom work and real life.
