The students are beyond blessed that you, Mrs. Brence's Friends and Family, support me❣️ I can't say it's been an easy transition from Kindergarten to 3rd grade but as you notice, it's taken almost 6 months to gather my thoughts enough to say THANK YOU.
I have 25 students in my 3rd grade class and only two students had ever seen a $100.00 bill in person! They beg me to play the money game and love racing each other to getting 4 quarters!
They hold the money up like they are so proud to know how much they have. They love looking at the money and constantly ask as many questions as you can imagine!
I included some pictures without student faces .. just picture their smiling eyes 🤩”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brence
This classroom project was brought to life by Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies and 9 other donors.
My dream is to empower students with the life skills they need to be financially successful!
Financial literacy is crucial in the development of young minds so they have an understanding of the history of money and how it works.
I have selected the Grocery Store Financial Literacy Hands On Money Kit, so children can use money in real life situations, like shopping on a budget lesson.
Dice, dominoes, snap cubes, and telling time are fun ways to incorporate math and financial literacy in a classroom.
I want our unique learning environment to make every day, the best day to become EMPOWERED!
