  The funding of these tubs is a game changers

  They are incredibly helpful for hands-on, engaging literacy instruction. The tubs typically contain objects and picture cards representing different blends and digraphs (like "ch," "sh," "bl," "st"), which help students make concrete connections between sounds and words.

  Our multi languages learns use these materials to support multisensory learning — students can see, touch, and discuss the objects while practicing their phonics skills. This can be especially effective for younger learners or those who need extra support with speech and language development. The variety of items also makes small-group work and independent centers more interactive.”

  We've been using the new resources in a variety of ways, but one of the most exciting projects has been our hands on learning tools.
