• Equipment and Storage Needs

  The pickleball equipment gives my students the opportunity to practice and learn a new, trending sport. The soccer balls were much needed and my students love seeing the new equipment. The blue and red stars on the soccer balls were a hit!

• Tennis Balls for the Season

  I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that gave to this project. With your donations we were able to supply the team with tennis balls for the entire season. Tennis balls are a crucial investment that we have to replace each season because they go flat and your help makes it an easy item to keep in supply.

  We need these supplies at every practice and match and it is always nice to have new tennis balls for practices at the beginning of the season and throughout the year. New cans are also essential at all matches. We are grateful for your help and are reminded of your generosity each time we use these supplies.”

• Individualized Lifetime Sports

  I would like to take the time to thank everyone that gave to this project. These supplies have given my students the opportunities to learn sports they may not have experienced before. We have used these supplies to have indoor putt-putt courses, a practice driving range, an outdoor disc golf course and that's just the beginning of what we can use these supplies for. Students at Boston are now able to learn lifetime activities in a safe and socially distant environment. These experiences and memories will live with them forever and may have a lifelong impact on their health and wellness.”

• Tennis Balls for the New Season

  Thank you for your generous donations. The donations are going towards great kids and are an essential part of our program. We use the tennis balls at every practice and every match, obviously they are vital to our success and performance.

  I appreciate helping me give my players the resources they need to have a successful spring season! Each year we have to replenish tennis balls for practice and matches and this is an expensive part of our season planning. With the new tennis balls that we have now our practices will greatly impact the team's preparation for the upcoming season.

• Tennis Equipment

  Funded Dec 17, 2018

  Without your generous donations the Thomas Nelson tennis team would not be able to have the proper equipment to have a successful season. The tennis ball hopper allows us to have effective practices and teaching sessions with minimal breaks and the cases of tennis balls are essential for any tennis team's season. A junior on the team said, "I've never seen this many tennis balls on these courts," during our first practice outside. This is definitely a good thing.

  At this point in the season the girls are 3-0 and the boys are 2-1 and I truly believe the hopper allows us to have efficient practices without as much time lost picking up. This time saver is critical for the players' improvement and success. Thank you again for your donations and I want you to know that you are greatly appreciated and your money went to a great cause.”

• Tablets for Educational P.E. Classroom

  Funded Dec 7, 2018

  Thank you for your generous donations to make this project happen! The students use the tablets to create videos of themselves practicing skills they need for many physical activities. They then upload the videos to an online program called FlipGrid where they can view their classmates' videos and share ideas. In the future I would like to have the students record their individual skills to FlipGrid and have the students share and assess each other's skills.

  The students really enjoy being able to take ownership of the lessons by creating videos of their physical activities and skills. Also, being able to see themselves practicing the skills we're working on in class creates another method for the students to learn and master physical education skills.
