I have 18 vibrant and hard working Kindergarteners who love learning and exploring. My students' favorite subject is math because they enjoy learning about numbers, shapes, and most importantly, showing off their addition and subtraction skills. Studies have consistently shown that early math skills are a predictor of one's entire academic career. Students benefit from skills such as number sense and critical thinking when learning. Thanks to a wonderful site called Teachers Pay Teachers, my students have a chance at improving and expanding their number sense through high quality lessons and activities. Teachers Pay Teachers is a site with over two million resources, created by TEACHERS, with students in mind. My project's goal is to provide my students access to engaging and hands on educational resources that will help prepare them for math concepts in other grades.
