Let's Bring Life Back to the Classroom Library!
Funded Aug 10, 2022The power of books is unimaginable. The hard work and dedication of you the donors is much appreciated. My class has enjoyed our new books immensely. They are always asking to borrow books and are interested in reading new books. Revamping our classroom library was just the ticket to getting the kids interested in reading again. Especially when they are surrounded by the latest apps and technology it is a testament to the new books in the library that you helped provide that has gained the kids interest. I thank you for all the help you provided to make my classroom a fun and welcoming environment.”

Funded Jul 31, 2022Funding this project was a huge goal for me. My kids came into my room and were immediately transported to another world. My theme of Harry Potter connected right with them. When they found out they each had a copy of the books, magical reading glasses, and magical reading wands, the kids became so excited to start reading the novels. They beg daily when is it Harry Potter time and I already see the love they have as we read Harry Potter together. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for making my wish come true and providing my kids the opportunity to love reading.”

Be a Cheerleader for My Readers!
Funded Sep 24, 2021Your donations were able to help 90- 3rd grade students experience literature that they would have never experienced before. The books were able to give our students experiences that they normally would never get due to their urban environment. They experienced farm life with Charlotte's Web. Southern life living and the experience of a little girl who was abandoned by her mom. My students really related to Opal's life experiences. Matilda was a class favorite. The kids loved how Matilda was able to show them a different school environment and they resinated with Matilda and her humor. Flat Stanley really allowed our kids to experience places that they could only dream about. They loved the Flat Stanley Project and connecting Stanley to real world places. An added bonus was we were able to have literature circles for small group instruction for other grades. This donation helped us for years to come and we appreciate everything that was donated.”

Funded Aug 2, 2019Your donation has created such a fun and exciting experience in my classroom. The students come in excited to spend time at our reading corner. When they saw the flexible seating at our small group table I had kids excited to work with me at the red table.
Getting flexible seating has been such a gift to our little learners. They love that people thought of them to give them these wonderful gifts. The students love the bands on their desks for their feet. It has really helped my students who are fidgety relax and able to focus on their work.
Our next step is obtaining reading books for our learners. My students love to read along with me during read aloud times. I am looking to obtain copies for each child for each quarter of the school year. This will benefit students for years to come! I want my students to feel ownership over their learning and reading and by getting chapter books this will allow them to flourish!”
