Let's Explore the World of Possibilities!
Funded Nov 24, 2019Because of your generous donations, my class was able to receive six interactive United States Maps games to learn while being highly engaged. The students love to test themselves in understanding the states and their capital cities. They also love to compete with each other to see who is actually remembering where the regions are located. I hope you realize the impact you have made on my students' lives in that they need to become enriched with knowledge so that they will have the tools they need to succeed moving forward. Your donation has afforded many students the opportunity to learn, have fun, and the positive effects are priceless!! Thank you for your support and contribution to Detroit!”

Drop Everything And Read D.E.A.R
Funded Jul 20, 2018Hi all, I wanted to make sure this was sent to each of you who made a contribution to the purchase of my Fire tablets for my class. My students are now reading from the tablets, and truly enjoying the freedom of working independently in my rotations. Because of generous individuals like you, students have a chance of rising above obstacles that could otherwise hold them back from achieving their highest potential. From the bottom of my heart, "Thank you" for making my project become a reality!!! Theresa - Warrendale Charter Academy”

A Day in the Life of a 3rd-Grade Student in Detroit
Funded Dec 31, 2013My students were so excited when they saw our new easel! I went in one day and assembled it, so when the students came the next day they ran to it and wanted to write on it immediatelyð it's been a wonderful asset to our classroom because everyday we find it useful for something that brings us all together for learning and sharing! We use it for math, and the kids also like to practice their cursive with dry erase markers! My students have become more and more excited about our reading lessons because we also use the easel to make anchor charts. The students are picked to come up and illustrate and write, which ultimately has improved their skills in writing. I feel so lucky and fortunate having received this amazing gift that has benefited my students in every way.”
