Funded Oct 2, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations towards this project. Teaching science involves students having the opportunities to do labs and hands on activities. Unfortunately with limited supplies and time it is often hard to do actual labs. These chargers allow students to keep their devices charged throughout the day in order to learn and understand all subjects more accessibly.
Upon arrival of the chargers, teachers couldn't wait to get their set so they can better provide for students in their classrooms..

Color Our World Of Science
Funded Jan 25, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations towards this project. My students have been so excited about having a color printer just to be used in science class since the moment I told them that I put a DonorsChoose.org project together. One student was so excited that she blurted this out during class, "We no longer have to go to the library to print!!!" Teaching science involves students having the opportunities to do labs. Unfortunately with limited supplies and time it is often hard to do actual labs. The printer from this project will allow all 165 of my 7th grade science students to do projects and science fair presentations.
Upon arrival of the printer, the students could not wait to get it out of the box and set up. They felt very fortunate to have access to a printer during class time.

Printing Colorful Labs & Projects
Funded May 6, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations towards this project. Teaching science involves students having the opportunities to do labs and hands on activities. Unfortunately with limited supplies and time it is often hard to do actual labs. This printer allows me to create and print beautiful manipulatives students can use to learn and understand science more accessibly.
Upon arrival of the printer, I couldn't wait to set it up and start creating materials.
Currently, my students are using the puzzles pieces of the digestive system printed by the new printer to explore and learn about the organs. These manipulatives have allowed the students to delve deeper into the inner workings of their bodies.

Unfortunately with the closing of schools we did't get to complete the lab hands on. I was able to do a live stream of me completing the lab for them. We made the best of the experience we could. I have 15 English language learners who range from brand new to the country to commanding levels of English vocabulary usage. The addition of an up to date iPad that can download various apps for them to use to strengthen their science vocabulary is infinitely helpful to them.
My students especially like to play the heads up game with each other to try and describe vocabulary to each other, virtual flash cards, and the use of google translate.

Funded Oct 25, 2019Thank you so much for such a generous donation to my students and classroom. The document camera has provided such a wonderful addition to my classroom teaching. My students enjoy being able to see me work out problem in real time with them.
My students become extra excited when their work is selected to be put under the camera and used as a sample of good work, or as a sample to grade. They get instant feedback and the use of the document camera has helped to improve their grades.
