Everyday things such as paper and pencils and organizational tools help to create success and maximize student engagement. My students will need supplies to help them complete everyday tasks and help meet their needs! I want my students to have all the necessary materials to keep them engaged and focused while I teach. Creating an organized classroom with basic school supplies will aid in this goal of student engagement and thus mastery of biology! Providing students with school supplies allows them to not worry if they are unable to provide these things themselves. Students will use paper, highlighters, markers, whiteboards, and everything asked for to complete projects, day-to-day classroom activities, experiments and more. Organization in the room provided with bins and drawers will give students their own place to turn in completed work and create a review file of all their completed work to take home and study at the end of the year for state testing. All of these materials will assist in student engagement and mastery of biology which as a teacher is my goal for them.
