  • Lego League Under the Sea!

    Funded Feb 11, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting our Lego League project! The students are hard at work, learning about the ocean, ocean layers, and ocean animals! Soon, they will be learning about Lego coding!

Thanks to you, the students are able to bring this learning to life by building models of the things we are learning about. They are doing a great job of working together to find the right pieces and follow the directions to build their Lego models.

We appreciate your generosity! We appreciate your support! We are having so much fun while learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Keep Up The Good Work!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you for supporting our class vocation! Because of you, our students have been able to grow and shine in their class jobs for over a year! Our students have become increasingly independent in their jobs and confident and proud of their work. Our District Deputy Superintendent recently visited our class while we were making greeting cards and he was very impressed with our students! Their independence and ownership of their work was evident.

It is because of donors like you that we are able to fund this class vocation for our students to teach them the job skills they need to volunteer or work when they graduate.

Thank you for your generosity and support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Card Therapy!

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

Thank you for your generosity and kindness! Because of you we were able to purchase supplies to support our student vocation of card-making.

The students are getting more and more independent in their work habits and job skills. They are taking pride in their work.

Thank you for providing us with the tools we need to keep our vocation going. Our vocation is so much more than card-making. It is an opportunity for our students to learn how to be successful at holding down jobs.

    From our whole class--THANK YOU!”

  • Fun Summer Learning!

    Funded Jun 4, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to make summer school a fun learning experience for our class! The students thoroughly enjoyed telling dad jokes and playing Guess Who. They also enjoyed making rubber band bracelets!

As you can imagine, summer school is not something most students want to participate in. But when you make learning fun, the students want to be there! Our class had excellent attendance for the 6 weeks of summer school. And we had a GREAT time!

Thank you for your support! The students thank you for a fun summer of learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Stencil My HeART!

    Funded Feb 25, 2024

Our students continue to grow and develop as card makers thanks to your generosity and support! Thank you so much for helping us to get the tools we need to help the students be successful!

It has been delightful to watch the students become more confident and capable over the course of the year in die cutting, stenciling, designing, packaging and selling the greeting cards we make. As you know, it's really not about the greeting cards, it's about the skills the students are learning: communication, fine motor skills, self-advocacy, independence, good work habits, and more, and the resulting growth in confidence and pride!

Thank you for all you have done to support our class vocation, and most importantly, our students! We couldn't have done it without you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Lego League Masterpiece Makers

    Funded Jan 20, 2024

Thank you so much, again, for your generosity and support of our Lego League Masterpiece Makers! We are in the final stretch of getting ready to go to our district-wide Lego League event and because of you we have an awesome project to bring!

We have watched our students grow in their ability to read directions, find the pieces they need and put the pieces in the correct places to complete the kits! They also have gotten much better at working together to complete these tasks. Often one students will find the necessary pieces and give them to another student to put them together.

The Lego League Masterpiece project is all about student interests and hobbies. Thanks to you, the students' interests are represented, including bowling, singing, dancing, caring for animals, cooking, and more!

The students are now learning about using coding to make parts of the project move, spin, light up and play sounds. Thank you so much for this fun, educational learning experience!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Pauly's Pals Greeting Card Supplies

    Funded Dec 15, 2023

Our students are having a great time creating handcrafted greeting cards! We are still working out systems/supports, and our vocational time is VERY chaotic (creative?!), but that's the way it goes with any new business venture!

Thanks to your generosity, the students are having a lot of success and getting positive feedback for their creative designs and hard work. We are putting the materials to very good use each week, and crafting beautiful cards.

We are currently making Valentine's Day cards in addition to our birthday, thank you, and other regular stock of greeting cards. We have begun to get special orders for baby cards and invitations!

Most importantly, the students are proud of the work they are doing! Thank you for giving them this opportunity to succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Pauly's Pals Card Co.

    Funded Nov 17, 2023

Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to keep our class vocation going to make and sell greeting cards for the holidays, birthdays, and other occasions! We have made cards and we began pushing a cart throughout the school to sell our cards to students and staff members. We also sent order forms home with all students in our building.

Your donation helped us to buy magnetic panels that we stapled to a bulletin board in our room to help us find our die cuts more easily! Our student card designers can go choose the die cut they want and ask our die cutters to cut out that shape in the color they want. It has helped to foster peer to peer communication and teamwork!

Thank you for supporting this fun, educational, vocational opportunity for our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Handcrafted Greetings!

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

I can't thank you enough for supporting our brand new greeting card vocation! It is everything we hoped it would be...and more! The students are creating beautiful greeting cards. They are learning to use the die cut machines, design cards, stamp cards, and stick logo labels on them. Now that we have some idea of what we are doing, we are going to change the way we make cards a bit, to allow for more interdependence, collaboration, and communication among students. We will choose specific styles of cards to make on a given day, and have students each complete one part of the process before passing it along to the next student. Every so often, we will still have time to free create original designs...and maybe re-create those student-generated designs as a team later on.

This vocation provides so many learning opportunities for these students. Thank you for making this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass

  • Summer Social Skills!

    Funded Jun 28, 2023

Thank you for your support of our project! Thanks to you, our students had a lot of fun this summer while learning how to interact successfully with others and practicing their social skills! The students had a great time blowing bubbles together, playing games, and bowling! Students were supported in social skills, including student-to-student interactions, turn taking, teamwork, and collaboration. The resources gave students a fun way to learn!

We appreciate your kindness and generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Glass
