Chromebooks would be beneficial in our Resource reading/academic lab class to assist the students with spelling, reading, typing, and researching topics. We currently do not have the technology in our class to expand our learning online. Technology is needed in our special education class to assist the students with reading/writing academics. With the accommodations/modifications that vary by student, the technology could allow the students more opportunities to complete independent activities. Activities could include learning how to open and create a word document, reading online materials that are geared toward their current reading level, and navigating the web to find materials that relate to their research topics.
