  • Mood Elevation

    Funded Mar 10, 2022

Our music class was taken to another level with the donation that was so generously given to us through your kindness. The speaker serves so many functions, When scholars enter the building they have the opportunity to hear upbeat music that drives them into a wonderful mood and allows them to melt off any negative emotions they may have experienced before arriving at school.

When scholars leave in the afternoon they may hear music to help celebrate their successes of the day. Through music, there can be transformations throughout the day.

During the day the speaker is used for music classes to help raise awareness of the different types of music and sounds that the world has to offer on lots of platforms.

They can hear the music they have just learned played through the speakers, rather than a cell phone, and get the full experience during listening lessons. They can also learn about the history of music and genres in America. Hearing the music and examples on a speaker such as the one supplied to us through your generosity is awesome.

We truly appreciate your kindness and your graciousness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fitch

  • Standing for Music

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

We have been incorporating piano keyboard into our music classes. Students are loving the addition to their class. The music stands were such a big help. Using equipment that is meant to accompany anything that you are using, instead of make-shift equipment gives students a rise in confidence that you may not believe. When posture is correct, in playing any instrument, you are able to play better, make and reach your notes better, faster, and more accurately. This piece of equipment makes a huge difference. Thank you so much!!”

  • Not Hiding Behind the Mask!

    Funded Jan 5, 2022

The peace of mind you supplied for our department is so appreciated. A lot of the times our students come to school with a mask on and then it breaks. But more times than not the mask is too big because it is made for an adult's face. The one's you help obtain were bought to accommodate their still growing faces. Colored masks were also chosen to help give those students who are fashion conscience a choice. Thank you so much for allowing our students to stay safe and healthy, and for being so kind. Your generosity will not go unnoticed.”

  • Body Ahhhh!

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Snacks make students feel good. Being able to bridge their meal with a well earned snack helps them to be more focused on their lessons. They eat their lunch then an hour or two later they are looking for more to eat. I have noticed a difference in concentration when I am able to offer them something that will actually lessen their hunger pangs. Your gifts and generosity has proven to be invaluable again. Concentration leads to better grades. Better grades gives students more confidence, which in turn gives them the desire to continue doing well.”

  • I Read Music

    Funded Dec 20, 2021

Students were learning keyboard (piano) basics with the orchestra, violin books because both instruments are "C" instruments, but to have a piano method book is life-changing for them. They are so excited to learn piano techniques while learning the theory of music. When we were able to have lessons on the keyboard we had to place the keyboards on the table. It is challenging to keep them with a mind of "good posture" for both instruments. The piano stands helps to eliminate leaning on the table or the piano being too far away or too close. It has even helped them with their orchestra posture. Thank you so much.”

  • Mental and Physical Strength

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for being so kind and so generous. The students here are very lucky to have you to care for their wellbeing. Having the right equipment for learning is very important. Along with having the right writing utensils that students love to work with making it a lot easier to get students excited about the lesson, they are showing us that it is a good strategy for participation. Our music students are so excited to learn piano/keyboard while studying the theory of music and it is exciting to see their excitement. All because of you!”

  • Reading With Clean Hands

    Funded Oct 28, 2021

Following CDC guidelines of washing hands frequently sometimes can be a challenge when students cannot get to the restrooms to washing their hands frequent enough. Your gift makes it a lot easier to make sure students are keeping their hands clean and free from viruses and such.

The beautiful books that were donated will help our students create musical stories that can be performed for their peers and others.

Thank you so much for your help in keeping students, teachers and other visitors clean and healthy. We appreciate you so much!”

  • Football, Futbol, & Bball = Beatball

    Funded Nov 11, 2021

This year in our classes it appears we must battle the COVID-educational-slide. That is the learning that students obtained before COVID that they seem to have lost during the time of quarantine. Keeping rhythm is one of those areas. We have to work to get to a comfortable place making music and keeping the beat while doing so. The balls you so graciously supplied will help us get back to a place where we can begin to move forward and be stronger in our musical pursuit.

Students were so excited to have the materials that will help them be more engaged and will help them become more proficient in their ensemble playing.

Thank you so much for all you do for our students!”

  • Today a Reader - Tomorrow a Musician

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

"All Students Read" is the school initiative for 2021/22. I am so grateful you allowed my students to be a part of the initiative to enjoy the adventures of reading. The books that you provided will give students an opportunity to stimulate and expand their imagination and their understanding of how music plays an important role in their life.

We received fiction and self-help books. Students have begun to read the books and there has been so much positive feedback on the books chosen. It is always such an experience to get lost in a good book. Everyone should have the experience of getting lost in the story over and over and over again.

Thank you for helping our students get "lost" in the joy of reading!”

    Mrs. Fitch

  • Clean Teaching! Clean Learning!

    Funded Aug 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity. The items that were purchased for the classroom were given in the nick of time. Items to keep the classroom clean that are so essential to our well-being.

Students are able to have the cleaning supplies they need to feel at peace (being back to in-person learning). They feel confident that the room is clean when they arrive and when they exit. The chairs are cleaned after each class, the keyboards are cleaned after each use, the tables are also cleaned after each use.

Whenever they are in need of hand sanitzer, it is available. We are so grateful for your generosity. Thank you again!!!!”

My orchestra students are divided by grade level. There are approximately 23 students in each class (3 throughout the day). The choir students are also divided by grade level. There are approximately 17 students in each class (3 throughout the day also). Students are mostly African American and Hispanic. You have helped us become a viable class where students learn with the equipment, books and supplies they need. We are looking like musicians, sounding like musicians and are beginning to have the confidence musicians should have - this is all because of you and we're thankful. I believe every child should learn being, feeling, and looking good. When all criteria is not met it lowers their self-esteem. You have helped us become more confident. Because of their new-found confidence they are excited with the possibility of going to the Big Apple, to learn through workshops from a respected songwriter and conductor
