  • Hockey sticks for P.E.

    Funded Apr 15, 2025

Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation to my classroom will benefit my students immensely. They will be so excited to use this new equipment and learn new skills. I am so happy to be able to allow them the opportunities that students in other areas have. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McCracken

  • Flexible Seating for Reading

    Funded Sep 9, 2024

My students and I are so appreciative of your generous donations. They are using the post-it paper daily to solve word problems and add their knowledge to our science topics. I am now able to have visible models and graphic organizers throughout the classroom to scaffold student learning.

When my students saw the new flexible seating, they couldn't contain their excitement! Giving them choice and allowing them to be comfortable when they read has made a huge difference in their concentration and motivation.

My students and I are so grateful. It is a great lesson to them that such caring people exist!”

  • Printer to Improve Students' Reading and Writing

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to my project and allowing me to purchase a printer for my classroom. My school has one very old copy machine and no printers for teacher use, so it is very difficult to get the materials I need for my class. This printer has allowed me to easily give my class the supplemental materials that they need.

My students love the nonfiction reading passages that I am able to print for them. They are learning about many new topics and are building their background knowledge. Ad our year comes to an end, I am also able to print math review pages that are necessary to ensure they're ready for fourth grade.

    Thanks again for your generosity!”

  • Paint for Creativity

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

My students are so inspired by their new paints. They are able to create works of art with different types of materials that they didn't have access to before. We are incorporating art into many aspects of our curriculum, and they were even able to create a Chinese lantern art piece in celebration of Chinese New Year.

When my students first saw the new paint wheels, they were amazed. They are used to having basic supplies, so when they saw the multiple wheels of color, they expressed pure joy!

Your generosity has made a huge impact on my class!”

  • Digital Art Tablet for Distance Learning

    Funded Mar 10, 2021

I can't thank you enough for allowing me to get this digital art tablet for my students. This technology allows me to annotate work and share math strategies with students in a new and exciting way. I am able to clearly show my thinking so that they have a model to guide them.

My students are amazed at how this tool brings ideas to life. They love learning about new technologies and seeing it in practice has opened their eyes to the possibilities. My students are in the STEM Magnet and many dream of careers in technology and engineering. Having this device in our classroom has added another tool for them to explore. Thank you once again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McCracken

  • Markers for Creativity

    Funded Jun 13, 2020

We have recently returned to in-person learning after more than a year of distance learning. My students are so excited to be back in the classroom, but things look very different than they did prior to the pandemic.

A major difference is that my students are no longer allowed to share supplies with each other. In a school where supplies are scarce, this is particularly difficult. Thanks to your generous donations, my students have their own set of markers to use.

My students were beyond excited to see the wide assortment of markers ready at their desks when they returned to class. They are used to having only the most basic of supplies, so these art tools really brightened their day.

My students and I thank you so much for caring about our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McCracken

  • Classroom of Readers

    Funded Jul 29, 2020

I can't thank you enough for your generous donations. We have recently returned to in-person learning after more than a year of distance learning. As you can imagine, this looks very different than it did prior to the pandemic.

My students are benefitting immensely from their individual reading phones. They are able to hear themselves read and block out distraction. They each have their own phone, which eliminates the unnecessary spread of germs.

After a very difficult year, my students were beyond excited to see this new resource in their classroom. Your generosity is very much appreciated by me and my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McCracken

  • Environmental Engineering

    Funded Jul 20, 2020

My students just came back to the classroom after over a year of distance learning. Throughout this past year, it has been very difficult for me to do any hands-on science with my students. Through your generous donations, I am able to model real-world science situations that we are then able to discuss.

My students were so excited to see and learn about oil spills through this kit. They were able to get a deeper understanding of what we've been reading and discussing by seeing it in action. I can't thank you enough for allowing my students this opportunity!”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning Through Sports

    Funded Jul 13, 2020

My students have just returned to the classroom after over a year of distance learning. With Covid still present, our classroom looks very different. My students aren't able to play together or share equipment on the yard. Your generous donations allow them to have their own sports equipment and still be able to engage in physical activity in a safe and fun way. When they saw the brand-new equipment that they would be using, they were overjoyed. I can't thank you enough for the profound impact that you have had on my students!”

  • Teacher Needs a Laptop!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

I can not express how much I appreciate your generous donations. Having a working laptop has made a huge difference in my ability to effectively teach my students through distance learning.

My students are able to hear and see me clearly without my screen freezing. I am to have them collaboratively work on math problems and annotate their thinking. I'm also able to share learning videos that prompt vigorous discussions.

My students are so much more engaged now that I have working technology. Thanks to you I am able to retain that critical connection with my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McCracken

I will use flexible seating in my classroom to boost reading stamina. My students have difficulty sitting in our uncomfortable school chairs for extended periods of time. They often rock in their chairs or wiggle out of them, which is unsafe and unproductive. When they have a choice for seating, they will often choose the carpet, and I have noticed that they are much more attentive and engaged than when they are at their desks. I would like to allow for more students to have seating choices in my classroom. Providing them with these chairs will allow them to focus on the task of reading while at the same time, getting out some of their excess energy.
