Classroom Carpet That Will Keep the Sickness Away
Funded May 13, 2019Gratitude is all I can say!
Your recent donation of the GG358 - A Spot for Everyone Classroom Carpet for 30 Kids - 9' x 12' - Blue means that you understand the power and health of students who have allergies from dormant stains that are impossible to remove from carpets that has not been properly cleaned.
I would like to thank you for your gracious donation of the classroom carpet...enough space for my students' bottom whereas they are not in reach of their classmates to do bodily harm according to children. I no longer see students wheezing and sneezing and rubbing eyes as I did last year. My students love this carpet, they tell their parents about the new carpet they are now sitting on when we come together as whole group or small group. Thank You so much.....the pictures will be arriving, I thought that I would have received the interactive Phonic Game Show by now.
For this reason, I was holding off on writing the ' Thank You' letter; however, I along with my students were overjoyed by their fantastic seating option. Thank You!
I have not received the PP146DL - Let's Learn Phonics! Interactive Game Show - Single License Instant Download • Lakeshore Learning Materials
$14.99.”

Funded Oct 30, 2015Thank You Gymboree so much for your donation to my project of 'Being Part of a Grand Experience Can Make A big Difference', by donating to my VPK Pre-K class a cd player, a printer, water color paper and hula hoops. It is from a wonderful organization such as DonorChoose.org that my VPK Pre-K class even exist as far as acquiring material needs. So for that I thank you.
My students now have a cd player that they was terribly needed; however it skipped a few times as I played cd's but it soon began to work out it's newness. When my students walked in the classroom, the cd player was the first thing they noticed as they entered the Block and Building Center, our Meet and Greet area of the room. They were so excited to see the cd player.
Also as far as receiving the printer; the children stated now we can have homework. I've never seen children cheer on homework as my students do. I was telling them that now I have to write a parent letter asking your parents to donate ink for the printer and they began to shout out : "I will tell my mom, we need some ink for the printer". My students are hilarious; I adore them.
After lunch Tuesday, I excused myself from them and left them in the care of my para for a few seconds as I walked into the classroom to get the hula hoops that I stashed away from their peering eyes during the morning Meet and greet. I walked outside with the hula hoops and they were in awe as to who were the hula hoops and I told them that the hula hoops were donated by Gymboree and they stated, "Ms. Cohens, we have everything".
Thank you for the water color paper also because that is an everyday use in a Pre-K classroom setting in everything that we do; so Thank you.
Thank you for making my children life experience this year so enjoyable.....without you the joy that I received from my students faces this week would not have been on such a grand level.
Thank You so much from my VPK Pre-K class; you're wonderful.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cohens
That Empty Feeling of Being Material Less
Funded Oct 13, 2015First and foremost, Thank you Chevron and Christian for your current contribution of time and energy to my VPK Pre-K students....project id 1693214, "That Empty Feeling of Being Material Less', because we did not have supplies that were needed in the classroom.
When the janitors walked into my classroom with the boxes on a cart at the end of the day, my students eyes were that of excitement. They wanted to know what was in the boxes and I told them that I would unveil the box surprise tomorrow morning. So they went home with excitement in their eyes and mouths telling moms and dads and grandmother or whoever was picking them up that day all about the mystery surprises that they had received.
So the next day as I walked into the cafeteria to pick the children up from eating breakfast, they were waiting impatiently for me to enter. They no longer wanted any more breakfast; they were ready to walk to the room and start opening boxes. So, as I lead them into the Block and Building Center after the attendances and announcements are completed; I proceed to bring the boxes into the Block and Building center. I take the scissors and began cutting the tape slowly, then I asked..."boys and girls what do you think may be in this boxes and they were making all types of guesses from toys to Halloween suits and etc. So, I opened the first box with had the Science puzzles, alphabet game and white boards. I allowed the children to test those items, they truly enjoyed them. The second box that I brought to the Block and Build Center was the box with the paint and because a picture of paint was on the box, they guess that surprise quickly. However, they had to guess which colors were in the box. They had so much fun guessing the colors of paint in the box and then we did a survey of how many bottles of paint were in the box. They used the paint to make a hand print banner using paper plates. They saw all the paint paper and they said, "Now we can paint!". You truly made my students happy.
The next box included the Clay & dough designer kits in which they will use Monday during the 'Learning" schedule. They are anticipating opening up these items because we do not have the Clay& Dough designer kit in our class, they would just roll and pat and model the play dough with their hands. They were shocked by the people color crayons because there were no bright colors in the box.
My students are in love with the double sided wipe and write boards because they love to write on the only white board in the classroom and that always entail erasing the message of the day. Now they can copy the message of the day from the white board onto their individual white boards.
You are truly an inspiration to my students and their parents because the parents are just as excited as the children because the children are sharing their good News with their parents. The parents are beginning to peek inside the classroom to see what changes has taken place in the room because of their children excitement of sharing what we have received.
Again and again, Thank you so very much for all the materials that you have so graciously donated to my VPK Pre-K students because you have made their days.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cohens
Desperate for a comfortable Reading/Writing Center
Funded Oct 7, 2013Please accept my heartfelt thanks from my VPK Pre-k students and myself for the Reading/Writing Center.
The Reading/ Writing Station is so sturdy and such a great product that even I could put it together and I thank you for that.
My students enjoy the Reading/Writing Area in my classroom more than any other areas in the classroom; however only two students can actually sit to the table at one time.
Whenever, I ask my students individually which area they choose to go into during their Work Time everyone says the Reading/Writing Center. When my students go into that area during Work Time they are totally invested in their writing and reading...that is the impact that your generous donation has made to my class of VPK Pre-k students.......THANK YOU!
So again, I want to express my appreciation for your generosity of the Reading/ Writing Center and thank you again from my students because they adore going into our class library now.”

Funded May 10, 2012On behalf of my VPK Pre-K students, I would like to say thank you very much for your recent contribution of " Creating A Productive Series of Science Centers'. Supporting my VPK Pre-K students is one of the most direct ways of improving the lives of a new generation of children.
Thank you for being an important benefactor for my VPK Pre-K students and making them the happiest students in my class this year. When I first sat down to write the proposal for the Science Centers I had my students of last year in mind because they were so curious about everything and anything crawling, slithering, or flying. Because of my VPK Pre-K students from last years interest in Science and the curiosity of the world about them.....my students of this year will benefit largely.
After outside time today, I gathered the children into the greeting area...a center I call the 'Family Gathering Center', and I announced to the children that some wonderful people have donated beautiful educational resources to the class in order to improve and enrich our growth and knowledge of the world around us. When I opened the boxes, the children were so excited to know what was in each one. They kept mentioning all sort of toys that they had at home such as Spiderman or games that they had at home that could possibly be in the box. However, when I finally opened the boxes the surprise on their faces were priceless as I presented each items as if it was the greatest educational resource of all times...they cheered and started hugging each other.
I would like to thank you for the every book, puzzle, magnifier set. Modular Science Center, Butterfly Garden, Odd Pods Cactus Garden, hot dot game, and the giant encyclopedia of Science. You have made my VPK Pre-K class the happiest students ever. They can't wait until tomorrow to start fixing the puzzles and reading the galore of interesting books about things that actually interest them. The impact of your donations will be in their hands tomorrow. I wish that I was a fly on the wall at their homes now only to hear what they are telling their parents. Thank You!
Again thank you for your generous donation to my VPK Pre-K students of having having the privileged of a Science Center and I hope that you continue to support my class........Thanks a million!!!!”

Furniture Storage And Supplies To Jump Start A New Beginning
Funded Jul 19, 2012On Behalf of all my VPK Pre-K students I would like thank you for your generous contribution of 'Furniture Storage And Supplies To Jump Start A New Beginning' to my students in jump starting their year.
Supporting my VPK Pre-K students is one the most direct ways of improving their lives. By contributing the 'Furniture Storage and Supplies to Jump Start A New Beginning', proposal to our classroom, you have made it possible that we have music in our classroom by sending us a single cassette player. You have also made it possible for my students to be able to reach for books from the bookstand without being pricked by a rusted nail or wooden splinter. You have made it possible for me to do the daily writing by supplying the class with ruled chart tablets because I do not have a white board or chalk board in my classroom.
So, I would like to thank you for your contributions to our beginning of this school year term of 2012-2013 school year. Thanks a million!!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cohens
Classroom Centers Are The Waves Of Today
Funded Aug 19, 2011Thank you for your kind and generous donation of the " Classroom Centers are the Wave of today project that you donated to my class for my students daily use. Your donation of Classroom Centers Are The Waves Of Today ' has made an immediate difference in the lives fo my students.
We now have chart tablets to dictate comments and write stories about different events that takes place at our school and or maybe fieldtrip that we may possibly take in the future. The children have pencils to use even thought they are in their early stages of drawing and writing. The Math Center has an assortment of manipulative to share among each child so that no child is left behind when materials are distributed for use during small group time. My students comments to me that the word puzzles are too easy for them because they are smart.
So as you can see; your generous donations of Classroom Center materials for our literacy and Math Center has given my students a headstart into the future development of being Kindergarten Ready. The supplies that you donated to my classroom and my students make coming to school and walking into my classroom a pleasant place to enter.
Thanks again for your general kindness of touching a heart (s).”

Ms. Cohens
Fishing for Fun..Playground and Indoor fun; Need Your Help!!
Funded Aug 19, 2011Many thanks for your most generous donation of the 'Fishing For Fun', equipment that you donated to my class. Your donation of all this equipment will be used for many years to come by my students and incoming students and other students as well. We used the hula hoops and the various size balls for variety of routines inside and outside of the classroom. The hula hoops are used for a variety of routines such as hula hoop capture- A quick and fun way to stop the chasing games, hula hoops run-progress from a"Ready! March!'' to a Ready! Run!' and the hula hoop throw-throw hoops back and forth. We do a five minute exercise routine outside everyday with the hula hoops.....as teachers are leading their students to their class; they always pause for a minute or two to gaze upon my students exercising with their hula hoops in hands. We use the hula hoop as a Venn Diagram on the carpet and for dancing routine inside the classroom.
When the boys saw the balls...their first comment was " Where is the football and basketball globe," my comment was, I will make a request for a football and a basketball globe next time. Everyday they ask me ...."Is it here yet"? Obviously the basketballs and the soccer balls are the boys number 1 choice.
Once again thank you for your generous donation of the variety of equipment that you have bestowed upon my class that we will used for years to come...my students are truly enjoying them...everyone is up and active. Thanks a million. ”
