Grouping: Learning and Entertainment That Works
Funded Feb 17, 2025First and foremost thank you for everything that you've done for my students over the years that I've been begging. Thanks you for the offer of snack because at the end of the day my students are starving and the cheez-it baked snack crackers made their day complete.
The Science experiment book was a 100% joyful experience for my students because they adore doing experiments and the supplies were easily obtainable. They will often look through the Science book and pick experiments that they wanted to do in the classroom. Two of mini footballs were lost in a weeks time because my students kept throwing them on the roof of the building or over the fence....so I no longer allow the mini footballs to be taken out. They adore the mini toy dinosaur. We have an entire unit on Dinosaurs in our 'Wonders' curriculum that we completed well before we received the dinosaurs.
When I took the jump ropes out of the bags everyone wanted one and yet only one of my students knew how to jump rope. She taught her fellow students how to jump rope. Many of my students wanted to play tug of war with the ropes, I had to tell them that that was not the type of rope for tug of war.
Using the washable side walk chalk was a task of the who could make the best breeze walk picture without getting to chalky.....they're children. The stem scientific kit which was composed of putting together a car......the group that were working on putting their projects misplaced many of the tiny pieces.
Overall my students were/are deeply grateful for everything that you gracefully donated to my class for them to enjoy. Thank you for the cheez-it baked snack crackers, the delinx stem scientific kit, the washable side walk chalk as chalky as they ended up....they were a pretty mess though.. They enjoy the dinosaurs toys, the jump rope and the mini footballs The Science book was the trophy because they are always saying to me 'Let's do this one".
Thank you for being there for us. You are the BEST!”

Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you to the gods for your donation that I requested of you in order to simulate my students progression for this 2024- 25 school year.
My students are specifically picked for my class from behaviorist students to students who has never been in school. This year, I've received six students who spoke no English at all and the picture word bingo was a blessing in learning their beginning letters sounds along with the pictures. Now everyone of them knows the pictures as they are learning the letter sounds.
When I play the picture word bingo with my students as they listen to beginning letters sounds and picture words name, they enjoy the game because someone's going to win first until everyone win bingo before ending the game. Eventually, they began to be the caller of the bingo game. The Math manipulatives were also a much needed stimulating manipulatives for my students as they gravitated through their math problems of numbers and shapes and recognizing money from paper money to the size and color shapes of coins.
My students and I are very grateful and thankful for your continuous help and attention to our class and community where the needs are great.”

Funded Apr 17, 2024The impact that this project had upon my students were phenomenal. I told my students that there are strangers blessing you with gifts because of how well you scored on you FAST STAR testing on Reading and Math. They were responding with all types of questions asking me how did they know we did well.
When I brought out the playdough and the snacks and the playground equipments, they jumped for joy. My students now had their playdough to construct and manipulate as they envisioned in their heads which were not simple projects of minimal construction. They were no longer looking on as the class next door played with all their gadgets because now they had their owns but not as much; however they were happy.
When I took my students outside for play, I set the rules for usual outside play and I began to place the outside equipment on the grounds, my boys were so happy to receive that football and soccer ball: however, the girls eventually took over the game.
I am so grateful and filled with thanks for your over flowing hearts for my students. You are their blessing...thank you.”

A Hunting We Will Go for A Printer
Funded Feb 28, 2024The printer that was donated to my classroom by strangers on my pleading to you because I was receiving no assistance from the office and told vehemently by the secretary that I could not use the printer in the mail room when other teachers were using it without question is a blessing placed upon my class.
I can now print out instant reports of testing which my students has completed within minutes of completions and send them home to the parents. When my students need remedial help in particular subject areas, I can now print them upon needs.
This printer is my life support in this school because I can depend on it. My next declaration will be printer ink to support this printer.
Thank you for your generosity and the love for my class/students and struggling teachers such as myself that receive no support from their assigned schools.”

2023- 2024: A New Venture
Funded Aug 8, 2023My students are very grateful for the variety of colors of marker that diffentiates alphabets letters and blending of alphabet letters. Many of my students are learning their colors in the process of using the markers. The book of Math games are somewhat a bit much now; however, the book of Math games will be handy later in the school year. We have not received the stem projects materials ordered and our school this year is all about Science stem projects in which we do not have as other teachers are supplied with whatever they need. Materials assigned to particular subject areas are not distributed equally at my school.....”

Funded Feb 17, 2022I did not receive the printer that was so needed. However, I had to substitute/ find an alternative choice in it's place. My students loved the inspirational deck of alphabet cards. I only wished that I had them in larger sizes for alphabet affirmation upon teaching a particular alphabet large enough to place on the wall. My students enjoyed the jump ropes; however because their were not enough jump ropes and the children were fighting over them, I had to put the ropes away. You have to remember that these children are recovering from a pandemic in which they could not share physical gym equipment and then all of a sudden. they jump ropes being place out for them to with....everyone wants one. My students loves books. They read stories to each other and they listened to my former students read stories to them. The picture page journals are awesome as they write their opinions and illustrate their thoughts. P.S. My students progressed well on their end of the year testing. I told them that I would shout it out the World....Thank you.”

Teaching Easel
Funded Jul 12, 2021My students and I absolutely love this easel. They think it's their own personal toy. I allow my students to help in the writing of letters and sentences when needed. Sometimes when I write an essential question on the easel, they will erase it when I turn the easel over to them because they think the easel is their own personal toy. I have to often remind my students to not erase the essential question for the day. I tell them all the time to just leave my essential question intact. They are learning how to use the line in writing and that is a plus. I guess I should have asked for their own personal bulletin board. The lined side of the easel is used to writing during academics and the clear side is used for Math.
My students and I absolutely love this easel. Thank You so much for granting my students and I with a board to share togetherness.”

Funded Apr 12, 2021Thank You for everything!
I am writing this letter to thank you for your important precious and priceless contribution of Writing Journals and the Leveled Books Classroom Library: Complete Library and your consideration to my students needs in "Children Who Reads= Adults Who Think".
Since receiving the Leveled Books Classroom Library, I read two books from two different bin each morning and I allow my students to place the books back into the bin according to levels. My students enjoy knowing that they've placed the books back into the correct bins.....these are my face to face students in the morning.
However now, my online students want to partake in the experience of selecting a book from a bin and placing them back. I told my online students last week that I would be receiving books for them to pick up. They are ecstatic about coming to pick up their book because they get the chance to be a star on Zoom reading their books at the end of the day.
So once again, Thank you for your generous contribution of giving the gift of life which are books....books at my students level that they can actually read and writing journals.
THANK YOU so much.”

Funded Oct 23, 2020Thank you for the resources that I requested for my students. My students were overjoyed to see the writing Journals, the books, the pack of crayons and pencils. I gave each student a Journal, a pencil, a box of crayon and I allowed them to choose their favorite books for take home purposes since they are not allowed to share their books with their friends. I allerted the virtual students to come and pick up their supplies; they were ecstatic to be receiving their gifts from you also. I allowed the virtual students to choose their story book upon one condition, they had to read their story books online at end of the day closing time which is readaloud time to their on line peers. They love sharing their stories online. So therefore, my students and I are very grateful for your contributions to their overall joy of Reading, thank you! The virtual students enjoy reading their chosen book online to their peers as their parents are posing them for them for the read aloud event. Thank You, for the joy that you allowed my students to have during such an isolated uncertain time in their lives that is unexplainable; you shone a light of joy, and again I say THANK YOU!!!!”

Funded Oct 9, 2019We received our packages in the classroom on October 16 at 1:15pm. The janitor pushed the two boxes inside the classroom and closed the door. After dismissal I placed the two boxes in our Meet and Greet area for the following day.
October 17, 8:20 my students walked inside the classroom glaring into the Meet and Greet Area. They placed their backpacks on the back of their seats and walked to the carpet. I began to taking each item out of the boxes....my students mouths went, WOW!!
I took the pencils and crayons out first and their response were, "Now we don't have to use the broken crayons. We never use pencils with erasers because children over used them even when they don't need to erase....they were excited to have erasers on their pencils and as usual they were over using it.
But what excited them even more was when they saw those colorful books with some words in them that they are familiar with. They asked could they take a book home and I told them their parents had to come and check one out for them. The microphone made every mouth open because they couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Last week was like Christmas to them, everyone had something to hold in their hands, thanks a million times over for THIS donation, it will benefit all. THANK YOU!!!”
