Play Is the Work of Childhood
Funded Sep 19, 2024Thank you so much for the generous donation to our classroom! The students absolutely love playing with the Lincoln Logs, Magnetic People and Tom You Building Block.
Each of the materials has been helpful in helping students to improve their problem solving skills and build community in our classroom. The Tom You building blocks have been great for students to work on their fine motor skills in a fun and creative way. During our recent unit on communities, students used the Lincoln Logs to create an entire village with homes, stories and community services. The Magnetic People have been both fun for students but also help serve as figits for students while on the learning rug.
Thank you again for your kindness, we truly appreciate it.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bernadette

Funded Aug 2, 2023My students and I are beyond grateful for our new Yoto Players and Yoto Story Cards. The students have been using them daily when they need to calm down and also during choice time. There are two students in the classroom who have been using the Yoto Player each day after recess to listen to a story and help get their bodies regulated before beginning our afternoon learning. It has helped them experience so much success during our first month of school and had a positive impact on not only their own learning but the learning of their classmates as well.
The students thoroughly enjoy the variety of Yoto Story Cards and are listening to a wide range of stories and music. They have each been so excited to take a turn with the player and select a story of choice. This has been such a wonderful addition to our classroom environment and we look forward to using them for years to come.”

Funded Dec 20, 2011This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The listening center that you donated has become a favorite activity in our class. One child in my class repeatedly talks about how much he enjoys visiting the listening center and how "cool" it is to hear books on cd.
The students have been using the listening station daily for about three weeks now and we are already seeing improvements in their ability to read fluently. Students who previously expressed little interest in reading books now frequent the listening center by choice! We cannot thank you enough for providing our classroom with such a valuable learning tool.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United State would go without. ”

Ms. Bernadette
