I am revamping my inner city classroom in Las Vegas, Nevada to create a more welcoming learning environment for my students. Most of my students come from low income families and thrive off of the structure of my classroom. I want to create an even better learning environment by creating a nice and cozy library area as well as a small group area for instruction. Literacy is a huge part of instruction as our school has a huge majority of students who are English Language Learners. The three cool, black, Big Joe Loungers will provide seating to enjoy a good book. The bookshelf rack will provide a place to display new books throughout the year. The other furniture including The mobile whiteboard will help me create another small group area for students to engage with their teacher. I love to teach small group and find it one of the thinks that makes me an effective educator. The rest of the items are decorations and a door mat to give my classroom a more fun and inviting look! I can't wait to see how great it turns out! My students are going to love it!
