Having the opportunity to learn to play the ukulele in elementary school in South Texas would be an amazing chance to shine. Once students are taught how to play the basic chords and fingerings, the sky is the limit. I would be able to teach them traditional American and Mexican songs, as well as some of the pop songs that they love. Woodwind and Brass has high-quality instruments at great prices. Performing live with the ukuleles for their parents would be an amazing thing for them, and would help conquer their fear of being in front of an audience. Students will learn the proper way to play the ​ukulele.
