Thank you so much for your donations! Student were amazed when they saw their new books and book buddies. The characters (book buddies) have really allowed the students to connect to the character ideas/traits while I read during our read aloud time. Student also enjoy going to our library/reading area to read books and will now have the option to read there with their book buddies. The new books and book buddies are also displayed throughout the classroom for the book of the week and are ready for the students who finish their work early to practice their reading.
The new book choices and their book buddies have helped not only my diverse students in not only practicing their reading skills but as a sensory modification as well. Students have been able to find comfort in their book buddies as they are holding them and reading to them or their classmates. Even my students from extended day (3rd, 4th and 5th grade) have enjoyed the new book and book buddies addition. Thank you again for making this possible for my students.”

With your help, I was able to provide the students a chance to practice their Social, Money and Life Skills with a Grocery Market Play and Learn Center. Students were so excited to see their new grocery center, dishes and calming mat. They couldn't wait to play and learn from it.
Boys and Girls both have enjoyed working with their grocery skills such as using the checkout counter or shopping for groceries. Student also have had the opportunity to practice their money skills while paying for their groceries. Students also enjoy learning how to set up the table and how to wash their dishes properly. Student also enjoy the lava mat to use in their sensory area.”
