Sitting quietly in a chair could be very easy to do, but for my students it's extremely hard to do especially when the chairs are not made to suit their specials needs.
My students are a wonderful bunch who love to learn but sometimes learning is a bit hard to do!
Our current chairs are heavy, hard and very uncomfortable. It is hard for our chairs to meet the needs of our students diverse learning disabilities. For some of the students our hard chairs make it so uncomfortable that they can't focus long enough during lessons. We need constant reminders to stay seated and focused.
The chairs are so heavy for the students that dragging them is the easiest way to push their chairs in when they finish an activity. The noises the chairs make when they're dragged hurt some of the students ears even after we placed noise buffers on the bottom of each chair.
I know that by adding these fun wobble flexible seating chairs to our classroom, our students will now be able to focus more on learning and less on stressful uncomfortable chairs!
