  • Room Environment Feels Comfortable (Planning Ahead)

    Funded Nov 27, 2015

Words can not begin to describe our appreciation. Your generosity is making a difference. All politics aside, our students should always be comfortable at school; in the winter and in the summer. When children are too hot to learn, that's a problem that should be addressed. So, we would like to thank our extended family for stepping up. As our world advances, technology is the future. Our students are learning how technology plays a role in their environment and how to infuse technology into their daily lives. So, now thanks to you, our students will continue to learn technology in a comfortable environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bostick

  • Tech Leaders of Tomorrow

    Funded Nov 18, 2014

Thank you for enhancing out Tech Lab with relevant literature about technology. I'm able to use these books during whole class instruction. With the lower grade classes, I was able to blow up an excerpt of one of the books and use this as shared reading. Our fifth graders are able to read these books independently and use them as resources. They were able to use the literature to think about how their future careers would involve technology. A lot of them was motivated to research more about how technology would play a role in their careers.”

  • All About Facts

    Funded Oct 30, 2013

We had more of a successfully year due to your generosity. When the materials arrived, our students' eyes widened with anticipation of new books. I actually caught a couple of kids smelling the books. When questioned, their response was that new books have a special smell. As you know, reading isn't only about fiction. As adults, non-fiction reading is interconnected in our daily lives. Well, this year because of you, I was able to incorporate a non-fiction leveled books into our library. Our students were able to able to read non-fiction books on their independent levels and challenge levels. Anytime they went book shopping, they gleamed with excitement. Also 99% of our students were able to pass the NYS ELA exam. Exam aren't everything because being able to instill a passion for reading was priceless.

So, thank you from the tip of our toes to the top of our brains. You modeled to our students acts of kindness and now they are able to pay it forward! Notice how I made the reference of our students because we see all kids the same way.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bostick

  • Expressions

    Funded Nov 24, 2009

Look how many people came together for the common good of students. I am so grateful for or support. The pictures are only a small glimpse into the joy that you've given us. So, let me paint you a better picture. Watching kids use the supplies everyday was like having angels watching over us. They understood that strangers showed kindness. They felt loved by people they have never met. My students were the recipients of kindness. In return, they paid your kindness in full by empathizing with others through actions and words.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bostick

  • Double Your Impact: Hooray HP!

    Funded Feb 7, 2010

The most memorable moment of counting my blessings was when the school's copier broke down. I just smiled knowing that would not be an obstacle for me and my students. I enjoy being responsible for investigating in the ink and toner. This is the least I could do after you have shown such kindness. My kids were aware of the process from the very beginning. While they were writing and discussing their thank you note, I realized how observant were about the printer. They knew every way in which the printer was used to further their success. Again, thank you so much.”
