Funded Sep 11, 2019Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of my students. Voice lessons were provided for students participating in our annual Solo & Ensemble Contest. I am proud to state that all of the students that received voice lessons were awarded with a rating of superior. They all received the highest possible rating and it is because of your donation that made this possible! Thanks for donating to my classroom and supporting these amazing students! Due to COVID-19, this will be the last middle school memory for many of my 8th grade students.”

Funded May 6, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom and thank you for supporting students like mine that need your help and support. Your donation allows my students to have a safe and organized classroom where their personal belongings may be stored away during classroom instruction. This will allow their bulky bags to be out of the way and will remove any tripping hazards that currently exist by them placing the back-packs on the floor. I can't begin to tell you how much easier having these storage racks will help to create a clean and organized environment. A safe classroom is my number one priority before any learning may happen in the classroom, thank you for helping that to come true!”

Funded May 7, 2019Once again, let me say a big, THANK YOU! We have started our school year and these racks for the backpacks have been a true lifesaver in the organization and safety of my classroom. These racks will be utilized by 238 students in 6 class periods. The students are so excited about having a place where their backpacks do not have to sit on the floor.
Each and everyday I greet my students at the door and then they place their backpacks on the racks against the wall. Your generous donation has helped to make this school year extra special. One of my goals as a teacher is to continue to become a better organizer. These racks are one step closer to reaching the goals of fully-organizing everything in my classroom. Thank you once again for contributing to the success of my students and classroom.”

Funded Feb 28, 2019First of all, thank you so much for donating to my classroom and supporting my students! Mrs. Johnson is an amazing teacher and we were thrilled to host her at our school! Each class received something different from her while she was here at our school.
The 6th graders went through a lesson involving the rhythmic figure they had been studying and the students learned more about "re", the solfege syllable and sound that they have been working on in class. Mrs. Johnson also gave me additional materials that I can use in the classroom to help expand my current curriculum offering. Mrs. Johnson surely went above and beyond what was asked of her for our sixth-grade class.
My advanced ensembles had the opportunity to sing for her and then she provided comments or worked various sections of the music to help bring them from an excellent level of performance to a superior level. The students asked many questions, and Mrs. Johnson mentioned items that other clinicians had not pointed out to the students. We are so thankful that she was able to come and visit us this year! Thank you to all of our donors!!”

Funded Mar 29, 2017I am so excited that our project was fulfilled and that there were so many of you that contributed to this being a success. We will receive our tuxedo pants prior to our UIL Contest! I have been racking my brain for days trying to figure out what we could wear and still present a positive image of our school. I am thrilled that we will be receiving these soon and will get to use them for years to come. We will be receiving tuxedo pants from Neil Allyn, the same brand of pants that I wore through college and beyond. My tuxedo pants have lasted me for years!
My students were thrilled to hear about us getting the funding for our tuxedo pants. They are excited to try on their tuxes and some asked if they could wear them to school. Of course, the answer is "not at this time".
At this time, my students are preparing for their spring concert with is this coming Tuesday, April 4th followed by our contest on Tuesday, April 11th. These students will have a busy couple of weeks with multiple clinicians coming to listen to the ensemble and work with them to improve their overall sound. We are very much looking forward to the contest season and premiering this amazing tux pants with our current tuxedo pieces.”

Funded Dec 28, 2016It has been such an exciting few months for my students! We have been preparing pieces that utilize the Djembe's you purchased for our program. The students have been thrilled with these djembe's and getting to hear that more authentic sound. In addition to the djembe's being utilized by the choir, the band has found several pieces that they are planning for their spring concert which include djembe. Thank you for making an impact for more than just my 260 students.
The students' reaction to the djembes was priceless. They smiled and all of them wanted to play them or just hit them a couple of times. As a music teacher, it thrills me to see students excited about instruments and learning. Currently, we are fundraising for our spring trips and to complete our Men's Choir Tuxedo pieces. Tomorrow, March 29th Donors Choose will be offering a match for our tuxedo pants which means we will only be about $650 away from our goal versus $1375. I know we have asked a lot of you as a donor and we could not be happier for these djembes, your donations let me know about the many people who care about our students.
Please consider staying up-to-date with my classes as we strive to provide a high-quality level of music education.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mincy
