Learning by Themes
Funded Jul 8, 2022I can't thank you enough! Our literacy block has been so engaging since your donation which allowed me to purchase materials through Teachers Pay Teachers to support the eight themes in our language arts program. Students get so excited every day when we talk about the current topic (right now it's weather). They love all of resources that directly relate to the theme from Teacher Pay Teachers.
My EL students are especially enjoying the connection between the theme and other areas of our learning. For example, I was able to purchase resources about the weather that support what we are doing in math and phonics as well. These connected resources help them develop their English vocabulary. Their confidence is building every day.
The TpT resources have allowed me to create cross curriculum learning throughout the day which supports a deeper understanding. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Nov 2, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation. It has been incredibly nice to have the supplies I need to create resources for students to take home that will last. My students were so excited to take home bags of word building cards to practice with. It has been very quick and easy to prepare everything with the paper, laminator, and paper cutter.
Students who are below grade level now have proper resources at home to provide them with more practice. I'm already seeing a significant growth in their abilities. What a wonderful gift you have given to the students! I can't thank you enough!”

Funded Oct 18, 2021I can't thank you enough! Small group rotations have been so engaging since your donation contributed to new supplies for our centers. Students get so excited every day when it's time to do their phonics centers. They love all of the letter tiles, stamps, and resources from Teacher Pay Teachers.
My EL students are especially enjoying the hands on centers during phonics time. The word building games include pictures which help them develop their English vocabulary. Their confidence is building every day.
The TpT resources have allowed me to change out the centers frequently so students do not get tired of a certain activity. They are so excited at the beginning of the week to see what's new in centers! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Write On!
Funded May 27, 2021I am beyond grateful for your generous donation! We are so excited to start the year with our beautiful journals.
I wish you could have seen their faces light up when I opened the boxes in front of them to show them the journals that they would get to keep as their very own. The room was buzzing with excitement! It just kept getting better as I shared with them not 1 journal, not 2 journals, but all 3 journals that they would get to use throughout the year and take home as a keepsake at the end of the year.
We had a nice class discussion about growth and how their writing journal would document the growth that they would make throughout the year. We talked about what a treasure it would be when they are adults to look back at their first grade writing. I cannot thank you enough!”

Funded Apr 27, 2021When I was a little girl and got head lice, my mom knew what to do. She went to the pharmacy, purchased a lice removal kit, read the directions, and began the process of removing lice from my hair and our home. Unfortunately, it's not that simple for our students and families.
I work at a low income school filled with English Learners. Many of our families are unaware of these kits, can't afford to purchase them, or can't read the directions in English. When their child is sent home with head lice, it can be overwhelming and they simply don't know what to do.
With your generous donations, we now have a supply cabinet in the health office with enough kits to send home with ANY family that is in need. We have translators who will explain the kits and make sure the families understand how to use them when they come pick up their child. I simply can't thank you enough!”
