Funded Oct 18, 2023Your contributions helped my students gain
Cultural Awareness and Appreciation: Students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of African American history and culture, which helps them recognize and value diversity and the contributions of different communities.
Historical Understanding: By exploring historical figures, events, or movements, students develop a more comprehensive understanding of American history and its complexities, including the struggles and achievements of African Americans.
Critical Thinking and Empathy: Analyzing historical and contemporary issues related to race and identity encourages students to think critically about social justice and develop empathy for different perspectives.
Connection to Current Events:
Understanding historical context can help students make connections to current social issues and challenges, fostering informed and engaged citizenship.
Enhanced Engagement and Motivation: Projects that are relevant and meaningful, such as those focusing on African American history, can increase student engagement and motivation by connecting learning to real-world contexts and experiences.
Overall, such a project can enrich students' educational experience by broadening their perspectives and deepening their understanding of important cultural and historical narratives. So I thank you.”

I thank you all so much for contributing to the school community it go them through tough times when they have lunch so late in the day.
