STEM Literacy Library
Funded Jun 30, 2022We cannot thank you enough for the generous donations which have added a hard copy library to our computer applications classroom for grades 5 to 8. Students now can "read" something other than materials online about Technology! Many female students have been positively impacted by reading many books about the impact of women in technology.
These fantastic books are going to be used for inspiring online research on one or more topics in the future. It may be an individual or a piece of technology that has changed our lives that they will research and learn more about.
We thank you for your support and help to build a well-rounded technology classroom!”

Creating Apps That Help Others!
Funded May 27, 2020Thank you so much for supporting our students over the summer with Art Activity Packs. The families truly appreciated the materials and are still using them now considering our district is full remote learning at this time. All the materials allowed students to stay focused on learning while giving them the materials to work as families to create art projects over the summer. These families are forever grateful for your generosity in this unprecedented time.
Thank you again for your support of our Daley School students and families.”

"From Trash to Tray"
Funded Feb 17, 2019A big thank you to Donors Choose for the opportunity we have been given to recycle our school extra food and support our Garden Club! With the support of your donations, we have been using the Samsung Galaxy tablets to record, organize and share the progress of the Garden Club. We will continue to use them to take these amazing photos of the work in progress while we are building, planting and caring for the garden. Our trash to tray grant has allowed us the tools to create and document this new program. From our new hose and sprayer to the shovels we have been using to compost and plant our vegetables, fruits, and flower garden. Thank you for supporting our initiative!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Samsung and 6 other donors. From IDEAS to STEM Realities!
Funded Oct 11, 2018We want to thank Thank you for giving us a 3D printer. We have made several projects that were straight from our imaginations. When making a house I designed several rooms and types of furniture that worked really well in 3D printing. The program we used helped us make perfect designs such as rain gutters. The water could actually move through this irrigation system. The 3D printer could help us improve designing and engineering skills. Both girls and boys in this class made wonderful things from Tinkercad, from hollow locking cases to wonderful temples.
The 3D printer, however, was extremely wonderful on every accurate detail in each product. The creativity of these projects made us try to print life-changing projects such as a personal cast. I enjoyed this experience imagining the possibilities of the 3D machine.

Funded Sep 4, 2016Thank you so much for the donations you made to make our yearbook a success. As 8th graders we will be able to look back at our yearbook and remember all the awesome times we had in middle school. We have been using the Samsung tablets to create memories with photos and video of events this school year. We will continue to use the technology for our memories of middle school.
During class we have also used the tablets to search for information during research projects. We use Bing in the classroom to locate information related to the topics we are studying in class each day. The tablets have brought the Internet into our social studies classroom on a daily basis.
We have also been able to use our Google Drive accounts to store information and materials for class as well as for the yearbook. This allows us to keep the pictures organized so that when we are ready to create our 2017 yearbook, we will be ready to upload! The tablets allow us to save the images directly to our Google Drive.
The camera is amazing and takes the best pictures. We are using our external hard drive to store our PowerPoint presentation which we print our yearbooks from and have not had to rely on an undependable network.....
Thank you so much for keeping our yearbook going this year and many more!”

Ms. Campbell
