My name is Barbara Fauvel and I am an Instructional Technology Specialist working in the Lowell Public Schools. My job is simple. It is to make our students college and career ready for the 21st century. This includes helping students understand the difference between Academic and Social language when using technology. I want students to learn how and when to use technology in their educational process. Students must be taught that technology is not just a social platform. It is the platform that all careers/jobs require. A basic understanding of all aspects from writing, image capturing, and communication are the key pieces to my philosophy. They must be ready for the challenges and opportunities that technology can bring to their lives.
