The students are absolutely thrilled with the graphic novels, and their faces light up as they immerse themselves in these captivating stories. Your donation has not only provided them with a wealth of diverse reading material but has also sparked a newfound love for literature.
During our ELA Academies time, the classroom has been buzzing with excitement as students eagerly dive into the graphic novels. The engaging narratives and vibrant illustrations have created the perfect environment for fostering a genuine love for reading. It's heartwarming to see their enthusiasm grow, and your contribution has played a significant role in making this possible.”

Funded Sep 27, 2022I am fondly and deeply thankful for the donation of helping expand our classroom library with new books. In our classroom we have a Reader's Workshop block where students get to read self interest books: this helps to awaken the spark of reading for pleasure. It is just lovely to see that my students want to read all the time, even during recess.
My library was definitely missing books in series. With the donated sources, my students are now enjoying and engaging in much more challenging chapter books that not only end when the first book in the series is over, it continues over to the next one. On several occasions I've noticed their faces light up when they get to pick up the second book in a series.
The How to Train Your Dragon series was definitely a hit as well as the Harry Potter books. With these literary texts I have been able to target our common core standards by challenging my students to find inferences, author's purpose, compare and contrast, and plot features. They are the perfect and we are so very thankful.”

Making Learning Come Alive With Chromebooks
Funded Mar 29, 2017Your donations have made a phenomenal impact for all my students. Technology is now an everyday tool in the classroom and your contributions have helped make this accessible to them. From broadening their knowledge of computer operating systems to introducing students to the Internet the Chromebooks you have provided them make this possible. Needless to say the technology you have put in their hands will enlighten their abilities for a lifetime.
24th Street Elementary is an Inner City Los Angeles School and students sometimes lack the best resources needed to them. Chromebooks have provided a range of new opportunities to them. Having the proper research abilities to them via the web has been the most exciting and beneficial tool. Being able to work on a new technology also compels and encourages them to better their projects and assignments.
A variety of students have taken to this new technology. It has enabled high academia students to further advance in the classroom and reach new levels of academics. It has also encouraged struggling students to improve with the reward of technology as incentive. While also providing new tools to help students with special needs. Lastly and most importantly it has provided our community with a sense of growth.”
