  • Learning Financial Literacy While Working Towards IEP Goals

    Thank you so much for generous donations! Not only does my resource room have calculators, but curriculum and games too!

    The calculators are fantastic for working on financial literacy as well as 8th grade math. Financial literacy is a major life skill and the calculator practice sets my students up for high school math success.

    Real world math problem solving is often an IEP goal. Having resources to problem solve these types of situations in different ways, lets my students make important connections. Sometimes looking at a problem a different way is all my students need to succeed!

    My students are enjoying practicing math skills with the items you donated through my "Magnetic Math Manipulatives to Help Concepts Stick!." They are able to confidently practice skills that will make them more confident in their general education grade level math classes.

    The manipulatives allow my students to practice at their own pace and be successful. Also they are able to practice and check in with their peers which they really enjoy. A positive experience with math is fantastic for any student, but I believe it is even more impactful for students with specific learning disabilities in math.”
