Funded Aug 18, 2021Your generous contributions has made strategic planning a smoother process by having access of two monitors to assist in planning and preparing for reading teachers and math teachers, reading interventionist's, math interventionist and my schools over all reading intervention for Tier 2 and Intensive Reading Intervention for Tier 3 students as well as math interventions. During collaborative planning with teachers and reading interventionist weather it be in-person or virtually, I was able to access data and commute it into easy to read charts and graphs. I also have been able to attend district professional developments that require me to analyze my entire schools reading data and create an possible/tentative plan of actions towards student growth and improvement in reading. The two monitor screens allows me to better access data while utilizing multiple screens at the same time and I have been able to make rapid changes and adjustments to strategic reading plans that are in place at my school site. Having two monitors has been beneficial towards students academic growth who are reading two or more grade levels below grade level in order to build comprehension across all the curriculum in other core subjects such as mathematics, science and social studies. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

Funded Oct 4, 2019Thanks to your donation the reading club that I am hosting for 2nd and 3rd grade students. The attendance has increased once the student learned that there will be rewarding incentives for participation and attendance. Snice then students have shown more interest in book selecting and we practice choral reading aloud together as a group. The students also enjoy selecting a book to listen to online from either tumblebooks or myonReader where they utilize the laptop to have the books read out loud. The student enjoy this option better due to the animation videos because of that I have added the caption feature so that students can follow along and read the words while listening to the online books. This has increased my students vocabulary and has built their self-esteem in reading aloud. Thank you so much again for your donations because of you, we have helped inspired students to want to read.”
