Thank you so much again for your donations. During our afterschool Talents programming students got the hands on innovative experience of building and creating utilizing legos. The children used either the guides to create objects and or they utilized their creativity and explored and created objects on their own. Students were giving the time to explore and critical think as they build and created during our afterschool programming. Students transitioned and developed a major development of patience and overall participation and engagement within the classrooms during afterschool as well during the school day. Next steps for this project would be implement it during the school day within our math and science classes.”

Thank you for restoring the peace within all my ESOL English classes. Students in all ESOL classes are now able to utilize the headphones to listen to their online programs Imagine learning and IXL Literacy ELL. Students can now concentrate on their individual lessons daily while in class during small groups. This has increased the learning engagement environment for all the students. Students no longer have to strain to listen to their lessons because of all the devices that are reading aloud their passages. Each student is now equipped with headphones which blocks out the excessive noise and allows them to focus on just their particular lesson that is in front of them. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Thank you, we are forever grateful for your kindness.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation because of your donation the classrooms were cleaned daily and sterilized on a daily basis. Students were able to wipe down their desk daily at the end of each school day. In addition, students were able to wipe down and sterilize in between activities during after school programming as well. Given the excessive. All teachers in PreK through 5th grade were given Lysol wipes and spray in order to keep our classrooms Satanized for the students daily. This will decrease the spread of germs as well as sanitizing student high traffic areas. We appreciate you are funding our school and helping us remain safe and clean from the spread of germs.”
Your donation of the lice treatment kits were greatly appreciated. Given that the families at our school are in transit and are currently living in a shelter that may or may not be as sanitary as it should be. By having the lice treatment kids at hand in the school, our families were able to have access to treatment free at cost due to them being unable to afford the treatment for their child or children. Parents were able to receive the lice treatment for their child or children and students were able to be back attending school at a speedy rate which decreased their number of absences. All in all thankyou so much for donating to our community and allowing our students and parents to have a safe space where they can retrieve resources from. Once again we appreciate your donation and generosity.”

My students come for a low economic background where most of their parents are either incarcerated, deceased because of gang related violence, suffer from alcoholism or drug addiction, high school dropouts or lack an educational background pass high school. But, there is a brighter light at the end of this tunnel where my school serves as a place where students can call their home away from home. With each loving teacher who goes the extra mile to ensure that our students are moving upward academically as well as socially. We believe our students will break the cycle of their community and are well on their way to become great leaders that will develop into role models one day. Besides their surroundings in their neighborhood,(government housing units that surround the school area), the students know they can come to school and be safe. The students feel safe because they know that the school teachers and staff all love and care for them as if they are our own children.
