My classroom has several computers but not enough to be successful. With all of the computerized testing we have to do, we need more access to the online programs. I have utilized the great reading apps we have available to us; epic and open e-books. Both of these apps have a wide selection of book available to the students at their level. The epic app even has books that the students follow along with as it reads to them, this is very helpful to my low readers. The apps help them read books that they are interested in and at their reading level. The more the students read the better their vocabulary becomes and the better readers they become. We will also use the iPad's for math apps as well. We have Khan Academy and Istation that we use. This will keep up their math skills or improve them.
