• Voices Amplified: Shure MV7X Microphones for Podcasting in Our Classroom

  I am incredibly grateful for your generous contribution to our classroom project—bringing Shure MV7X microphones for podcasting into our space has been a game-changer for my students. This technology allows them to express their voices with clarity and professionalism, creating podcasts that not only showcase their creativity but also build their communication and storytelling skills. Through podcasting, students are developing research, writing, and critical thinking abilities while learning about sound production and editing. The microphones elevate their work to a level they can be proud of, helping them take ownership of their learning in new and exciting ways.

  What excites the students the most is how "professional" they feel when using the microphones. The Shure MV7X microphones give them a tangible sense of working in a real studio environment, making them more motivated and engaged. Some students who were more reserved have really opened up through podcasting. One student, in particular, who rarely participated in discussions, has taken a lead role in producing and narrating segments, discovering a new passion for media production.

  Your support has enabled us to integrate technology seamlessly into our classroom, providing our students with invaluable opportunities to engage with educational resources in innovative ways. Many of our donors, while familiar with technology in their homes, may not fully grasp its transformative power within an educational setting. Allow me to shed some light on this.

  The introduction of technology has revolutionized the learning process for our students. It has facilitated personalized learning experiences, allowing each student to progress at their own pace and explore subjects in greater depth. Interactive educational software and online resources have made learning more engaging and accessible, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.

  The most exciting aspect of this new technology for our students is undoubtedly the sense of empowerment and creativity it instills. Whether coding their own programs, creating multimedia presentations, or collaborating with peers on virtual projects, they are constantly inspired to push the boundaries of their learning.

  Interestingly, certain students have particularly embraced this new technology with enthusiasm. Additionally, students with special educational needs have benefited immensely from the accessibility features and adaptive learning tools offered by technology, allowing them to participate more fully in classroom activities and achieve academic success.

• Headphones for a Music Technology Class

  The Headphones have greatly benefitted students in our music tech class by allowing them to hear their own work and the work of others without disturbing the class, helping them focus on their work and providing an immersive listening experience. They have been particularly useful for music creation and recording, sound design projects, and understanding the nuances of different types of music. In short, the headphones are an essential tool for the music tech classes that can help students improve their skills and appreciate the art and science of music production.”

• Outboard Compressor

  Thank you so much for helping is achieve our goal and allowing us to purchase the warm audio audio compress. With this tool the students will be able to have a hands on understanding of how a compressor works in the studio and how to use it to make their music creations better.

  In my classes the student create their own music from scratch. the addition of the compressor can add to their understanding of a professional studio and allow them to make their music sound more professional”

• Studio Monitors for Class Recording Studio

  Thank you so much for your generosity in supplying my students with the tools they need for their musical future. The addition of these speakers will enhance their learning to be able to hear things they have not heard before because of their personal quality of speakers. I for one have already listened through them and have noticed part in pieces I had not heard.

  The addition of these speakers will also make the students feel like they are in a real recording studio instead of feeling like they are in a computer lab.”

• 88-Key Digital Piano for Music Theory and Musicals

  Funded May 30, 2018

  Thank you so much for helping reach our goal. When the piano arrives it will be used immediately to teach the students in my music theory class. They will be able to hear pitches, intervals, chords, modes, scales, rhythm and everything else musical. In the spring the keyboard will be used in our musicals pit. This will help to not disrupt other classes. The students will also be using the keyboard to create and perform their own musical compositions in our music technology classes. • Headphones for a Music Technology Class

  The addition of these new headphones adds to the students learning by allowing them to hear a more accurate sound in comparison to what everyone else will hear in the class. Also it allows the students to not disturb others by forgetting their own headphones and playing their projects out loud.

  The most exciting thing about all students having new headphones is that they notice the difference right away in comparison to their own headphones or lack of headphones at all. All of my students appreciate having access to quality headphones and not have to provide their own.”
