Pops of Color!
Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for contributing to the project for a color printer. I am excited for my students to begin their work around their first publishing writing piece. Adding some pop of color will allow the students to express themselves not only within their writing but the way they want to present their writing.
I am excited to have students incorporate colored images that will go along with their Narrative Writing Piece. Their published writing will be presented in the hallway. With limited access to a printer and especially a printer with color this will bring color to our hallways as well.”

Funded Jan 30, 2021With such a different school year we are having student use a lot more technology than ever before. The students need to use technology to access their lessons that are made by me and even work on activities that are computer based. Thankfully many of the curriculums have supposed us with computer based student books so students can access and work independently.
With the new laptop I have received I am able to create new lessons that are engaging and hands on with activities for my students to participate in.
All students truly benefit from engaging lesson especially with the time we are in now. it keeps the students working on and wanting to continue their education.”

Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you so much for your support.
The students are so eager to publish their writing and have more ownership to their writing pieces. Having a color printer is a great way for the students to feel as if their own writing is coming to life.
The technology is helping my students learn because they are more excited to engage in the writing process. When it comes time to present their writing many more and able to share and feel the sense of pride. It is wonderful to see students becoming successful.”

Funded Aug 5, 2019It is amazing to see my students so eager to begin their independent work. Once the lesson is complete the students have the options to choose how they would want to work best. The students get most use out of the materials during their writing workshop. My students reaction was priceless. They were excited to begin using the materials and see what they felt most comfortable using.
My students have produced more work because they have the freedom and now resources and materials to work effectively either standing or sitting on the floor.”

Funded Mar 6, 2017The addition of the color printer to our classroom will enhance the students published pieces of their writing. This product will give the students ownership of their work by creating their published piece with their own personal touch. This product will not only enhance student writing pieces but it will also deepen their understanding when understanding the world around us.
By supplying the students with a map that is printed in colored and has a key which is color coded it will become more clear to the students. Many of the past material was difficult to print due to no color ink within the classroom. I think by having this technology within our classroom truly excites my students. When I informed them that we would be having a color printer the students couldn't wait to engage in more researching and writing because of the personal touch they can now add to their writing.
There are a few students who truly benefit from this piece of technology in a different way. The reason is because some students use a tech to type but yet aren't always able to print their work because a printer wasn't available within the classroom to print their work. Now having this piece of technology the students are able to not only have a digital copy but also have a hard copy for their records.”

Empowering Students Through The Arts With Chromebooks
Funded Mar 14, 2016All the students were overcome with joy when I gave them the news about the Chromebooks, the students couldn't control their excitement. The technology is helping my students learn way more than just The Arts. They still have centers around The Art but it has helped within other subject areas as well. It has helped the students prepare for the State Test because they were able to engage in I-Ready and online program that assisted them with Mathematics and English Language Arts.
What has been most exciting for the students about the Chromebooks is that it belongs to them as a class. They understand that the Department of Education didn't give them the Chromebooks but that they were funded to help them grow in all areas.
Many of the students have enjoy the technology, however a few students in particular get much use out of the new Chromebooks. Due to some fine motor skills the typing and using the keyboard has really helped them grow in must areas when expressing themselves. Another students love working with The Arts so she has truly loved our center Fridays that deal with different topics of the Arts.”

Funded Feb 11, 2016Receiving the IPad has benefited my students in a positive way. Many of my students don't have access to technology at their homes so when it comes times to research they fall short in this task. Having this IPad circulate around the room to help aid students have helped them write essays with greater details to support their claims. It had been wonderful to see just how successful they are becoming by doing research
What excites my students most about the new product is that they can access their IReady. By doing this they are getting the chance to practice their English skills through educational games that are based off their individual level.”
