STEAM + CS = Learning + Fun!
Funded Dec 11, 2014My students truly appreciate your generosity. To quote Mae Jemison, "The difference between science and the arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin even, or even different parts of the same continuum, but rather, they are manifestations of the same thing. The arts and sciences are avatars of human creativity." These resources help allow my classroom to become a place where my students can bring this quote to life. Thank you for giving my students the chance to explore and learn without sacrificing their love for the arts and creativity..”

This classroom project was brought to life by NBCUniversal and 10 other donors.Real R.O.S.E.S. Read!
Funded Jun 16, 2014Our readers were ecstatic when the books arrived. Our "Name that Book" is busy reading and preparing projects as I type this note! Readers are truly leaders and your generous donation is helping our young readers succeed.
Your donation is helping to build great readers and leaders on our campus. "Name that Book" has helped dozens of students at our school. This donation will help this number grow. With this donation, the students will be able to create a team lending library that ensures that everyone has access to all of the competition books.
Thank your for your generous donation. You are truly ensuring that our "Real R.O.S.E.S." have opportunities to keep reading.”

Help Make Our VEX Success Less Vexing!
Funded Mar 15, 2014Thank you for your generous donation. The students are learning so much about programming and mobile robotics through the use of the joysticks. Our students successfully programmed and operated a Tele-Op robot the first day that they received the joysticks! They are looking forward to using the joysticks with sensors to navigate and manipulate objects in a virtual environment.
You have helped to equip my students with the tools they need to build skills for STEM success. Thank you for your support. You have truly helped to make our VEX success less vexing.”

Savvy STEM Students Need A Marvelous Makerspace!
Funded Oct 18, 2013Wow! These tools and resources have really helped to make a lasting impact on our campus. Thanks to these materials, we have been able to build bridges, trebuchets, water bottle rocket cars and even a Rube Goldberg Machine! These tools have helped our campus to grow our VEX robotics team and expand to including a VEX IQ robotics team.
Our engineering students that have a dance residency have been able to use the drafting tools to design EL wire costumes, and they are using the tools to help develop and test their costumes!
Our makerspace is growing each day!
Thanks again for your generous donation. You are truly changing lives.”

Wired for S.T.E.M.
Funded Oct 10, 2012Our class can't thank you enough for the joysticks. We have used our joysticks to learn more about aviation and how pilots use six primary motions to control an airplane. The joysticks have been used by my Aerospace class and I plan on using them with my engineering classes and my after school tutorials and clubs as well.
With your help, my students are becoming more technologically proficient and have more real time access to hands on learning through flight simulation. These hands on experiences have inspired many of the students' to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematical career choices in aerospace and aviation.
You have helped to touch the lives of our students. For that, we offer sincere and humble gratitude.”

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Minds
Funded Dec 10, 2010Our class can't thank you enough for the recyclable plastics and paper inquiry kits. We have used these kits to learn about density, polymers, buoyancy, paper science, environmental stewardship and more. The kits have been used by my 8th grade classes and I plan on using them with my lower grade after school clubs as well.
With your help, these students are more prepared to make informed decisions based on scientific and mathematical knowledge. These hands on experiences have inspired many of the students' science projects for next year and even more students to consider science, technology, engineering and mathematical career choices.
You have helped to touch the lives of our students. For that, we offer sincere and humble gratitude.
