"Math Magic: The Exciting World Of Hands On!"
Funded Feb 28, 2024Thank you so much for generosity in donating to our math manipulatives and games. One game specifically that was a game changer was Ice cream scoop Math. Incorporating the math ice cream counting to 10 into a kindergarten curriculum offers a delightful and interactive approach to learning. As children count each scoop of ice cream, they practice one-to-one correspondence, which is essential for understanding numbers. This repetitive counting helps reinforce their ability to recognize and order numbers from 1 to 10.
Overall, math ice cream counting to 10 turns a fundamental math skill into an enjoyable and effective learning experience. It combines visual appeal, hands-on practice, and playful interaction to make counting a memorable and engaging activity for kindergarteners.
This approach ensures that learning to count becomes an enjoyable and effective experience for young learners.”

Funded Dec 7, 2023I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of chair and storage organizers in my classroom. Your kindness has made a huge difference in the learning experience of my students. The chair organizers have been a tremendous help in keeping my students organized and focused. With both materials they now have more space to work on the floor and can access their belongings more easily. It is wonderful to see how excited they are to have their own organizer for their chrome books, binders, snacks, and crayon boxes. They are now able to keep track of their belongings and are more prepared for class.
Thanks to your donation, my students are now more engaged in their learning and are able to focus better on their work. They are excited to come to class and are more motivated to learn.
Once again, I cannot thank you enough for your kind generosity. Your donation has made a huge difference in the lives of my students. Thank you for making a positive impact and for helping to create a brighter future for our children.”

Let's Organize Our Class
Funded Dec 11, 2023My students are using chair storage to help keep their classroom organized and tidy. When they first saw the materials, they were amazed and excited because they realized how much easier it would be to keep their chairs in order. The chair organizers consist of hanging pockets that attach to the back of each chair, providing a designated spot for school supplies, books, and personal items.
These chair organizers can continue to help your students in multiple ways. Having a designated spot for their belongings will help them stay organized and save time when transitioning between activities. Additionally, having a tidy classroom can promote a calm and productive learning environment. The chair organizers can teach my students the value of organization and responsibility.
By keeping their own materials in order, they can take pride in their own space and help contribute to the overall cleanliness of the classroom. Overall, the chair organizers are a simple but effective tool that can help your students stay organized and focused throughout the school day.”

I'm Hungry! Can I Have A Snack?
Funded Nov 14, 2023I can not express my gratitude enough for the snacks provided for my kindergarten classroom. The snacks have been incredibly beneficial for the students and have had a positive impact on their academic performance and overall well-being.
As you are aware, kindergarteners have high energy levels and often require frequent snacks to maintain their focus and concentration. The snacks that you have provided have not only helped the students stay energized but have also provided them with essential nutrients needed for growth and development. The students are more focused and engaged in learning activities after having a yummy snack.”

Funded Mar 30, 2023My students love to read from the 5th graders who I taught last year to my new Kindergarten friends. They truly enjoy the carpet area with friends and books to read. The fifth graders started the year off with me reading the story 'Ghost'. To say they were obsessed was an understatement. We did a book study together and finished the book in lightening speed. They wanted to continue the series with the next few books however we did not have enough copies for each student to have their own book, so with this donation everyone was able to have a copy and continue the series.
Carpet time was a time we never go to do anymore due to COVID. All of the carpets and rugs were taken up. Having a cozy reading area for the students to either just sit and read, lay down, or even take a break from being overstimulated. A lot of students like to work with their shoes off and that can be hard on the flooring in the classroom. Having a space where students can feel at home and in a working environment was a wonderful addition to my classroom.”

Funded Oct 27, 2021My students use the materials that have been purchased on your behalf daily. We incorporate them in a station for math activities. My students love the freedom of getting to choose which activity they are going to do that day in their independent work on group activities.
When we first opened the materials the students were so excited. First they were ecstatic that it was something new, and then they were even more excited that it lined up with what I was teaching them. The next step is to continue to use these materials to make the students more confident in their skills as a learner.
The recess toys they received are a blast. As a class we play games, the students learn to work together. They even cooperate with other students in the grade level. It keeps them occupied and a positive expression of frustration.”

Funded Sep 2, 2019My students are five and six years old in a kindergarten general classroom. During a math lesson working on numbers 0-10 my students were able to use the math manipulative game sets to count the number and place them on the mat. Not only doing a 1 to 1 correspondence but orally counting as well. My students in reading were able to identify which station they were going to next thanks to the literacy station chart. They can now fully read and use it without any help from me. In small group reading we are able to use the sight reader books to identify sight words and work on tracking with the print on the pages.
When they first saw the materials the students were so eager to touch them and get to explore them for themselves. They could not wait to learn and figure out exactly how to do the activity. When looking at the chart the students could not wait to tell me what station they were going to next. They truly loved being able to have hands on activities and visuals to help them navigate throughout the day.
My next steps with the students in my classroom is to help them further develop their reading skills. In small group I am able to pull them according to their reading level and use my strategies to help them achieve their end of the year goals. With sight words we are currently using independent games, activities, and hands on letters to help read, spell, and recognize sight words which will help them reach their goal.”
