My students are in a self-contained class. Some of them have autism and some have moderate intellectual disability. They like to be independent and like to work hard. Part of our functional curriculum is to teach them how to be able to work well along with other people. In selling coffee to staff and faculty they are able to learn how to operate a small business, and learn how to socialize with their customers. My students are in a public high school. .
