We are an open concept building where we use mismatched furniture to create walls or have no walls at all. One "wall" in our classroom has 120 feet of open space to the next door classroom. My students are easily distracted by this and makes our learning environment less than ideal. I would like to create an environment to support my students in learning rather than hindering their achievement due to distractions! Many factors affect the growth of students, but in our building the openness is a major factor. We use the openness to allow for great collaboration and sharing of students as well. So we have the best environment.
