• 95 Storm Pitching Machine

  Thank you once again for Donorschoose for providing this funding platform which has been a vital component of softball program. Even before COVID, getting funding for girls' sports was extremely difficult. But Donorshoose has made it possible to have the 95 storm.

  The girls were so excited to see the pitching machine up and running! "It's just like if the batting cages has come to us!", one girl stated. The pitching machine was a hit (no pun intended) as the girls all lined up to take a couple of swings. This machine will definitely make a difference for our upcoming season.”

• Training Storm Softball Pitchers

  When my pitchers first became aware of the new pitching equipment, they couldn't wait to perfect their skills! The weighted balls has helped them increase the strength and speed. Still working on accuracy! The strike zone made is possible to see where every pitch went so they can improve.

• 95 Storm Softball Batting Trainers

  Funded Dec 19, 2022

  Thank you once again to Donorschoose for being such a vital component of my softball program. This platform has given me the opportunity to provide much needed equipment for my team.

  When the girls saw the box containing the hitting machines, they were overjoyed. Since this year we have a large team (Varsity and Junior Varsity), more girls were able to practice their swing within a confined space.

  Next steps will be to continue perfecting our swing for our upcoming softball season. Thank you once again!”

• 95 Storm Softball Uniforms

  Happy belated Thanksgiving! Apologies for the delayed response with this thank you letter. Unfortunately, earlier this year I underwent emergency spine surgery which resulted in partial paralysis for several months. I am happy to inform you that I have returned to teaching and coaching the 95 Storm.

  Thank you so much for providing the necessary uniforms for my team of girls. It was less stressful starting this year's softball program knowing that a majority of my girls had uniforms. They were thrilled and overjoyed!

  This year we have doubled the amount of student-athletes so we are still in need of uniforms. We hope to create another project and fund it in time for our season. We will continue to train hard until we reach the championship.”

• Sting Free Softballs!

This is especially significant for girls who are beginners and are still afraid of the softball.

• 95 Storm Softball - Swinging for Greatness!

  Thank you once again to everyone on Donorschoose who helped make this project a reality! My girls were thrilled to use this new batting T's as it helped correct their swing. It helped teach the proper mechanics of the swing, teaching proper eye position when swinging the bat which eliminated the possibility of learning bad habits. The multi-adjustable feature to teach the level swing, upward swing and downward swing, has directly benefited my girls since they vary in height.

  This year represents the third generation of Storm girls as they represent the first female softball team in our school. Like before, I will continue to emphasize the student-athlete ideal where education takes priority above all. We will continue to be winners both on the field and in the classroom.”

• 95 Storm Softball - Pitcher Screens and Gloves

  Thank you once again for supporting these awesome girls, the 95 Storm. First, the girls fell in love with the catchers' mitts and felt complete, like true catchers. I have no doubt in my mind that this will only increase their confidence and skill levels. As for the Powernets, girls quickly jumped on utilizing them for batting and pitching.

  My girls are so thankful and grateful for all the support they have been receiving. We hope to have a successful spring season. This year represents the third generation of Storm girls as they represent the only female softball team in our school. Like before, I will continue to emphasize the student-athlete ideal where education takes priority above all. We will continue to be winners both on the field and in the classroom.”

• Batting Nets To Help Swing For The Stars!

  Thank you so much for supporting and believing in my girls, the 95 Storm. The resources donated have assisted my team in improving their skills in hitting and more importantly pitching.

• 95 Storm Softball Securing Nets

  Funded Dec 6, 2021

  Before these ingenious sandbags, the 95 Storm usually had difficulty with batting, specially, keeping the batting tees and batting nets upright. These apparatuses would get knocked down repeatedly by the swing of a bat or the impact of a ball. Now everything is weighed down by these sandbags which makes batting practice flow much easier.

  The Covid pandemic has crippled youth sports but we will persevere. I will not allow my student-athletes to give up on themselves. Therefore, I will do anything possible to supply my girls with the equipment that they need to become true champions on and off the field.

  While softball is about teaching these girls a new skill, my program is about saving lives. Thank you.”
